I did a set on the rear of our wheelchair van. Super easy install and no more bottoming out.  And the bags made the suspension more progressiv which was good given the variety of loads we see.

What are the “modern amenities” he’s after? My current view is buy something interesting with a double din slot and plug in any of a host of capable wireless android auto head units and call it a day.

I can’t tell from the photos...are they selling this at Costco or Ikea?

Here’s the thing. Teslas apparently have never be stuck to a wall outlet so that’s definitely the solution.

If you can’t park without being a danger to yourself and those around you ... or their cars and therefore have to rely on your car’s fancy autopark feature, your only option is to back in. Or find a parallel spot. (Assuming most of them are like our Pacifica.)

Dang. Re-watching those videos makes me simultaneously happy and sad. Her obvious talent was impressive but her superpower was her joyousness.

Kinja’d

I’m a sucker for clever solutions to problems I didn’t know I had.

That was worth the click through.

Since I’m sort of advocating to not dis other peoples car choices, I’m going to refrain from dissing his Fit. But mostly because I also like the second-gen Fit a great deal.  Will probably own one in another 10 years or so.

Agreed. And it’s not a undoable change should a hard core purist become involved.

Appreciate the thoughts. I agree that in the video the chief engineer comes off as a little smug or dismissive because of the lack of detail. I do think they are often coached by the PR/Marcom folks that less is more in public facing interviews. To your point, not always.

National Parks Posters ... lots of mildly nostalgic fonts.

You’d be wise to copyright that font quickly before someone (painfully) knocks it off.

It does have a national parts poster feel about it.

Agreed. You’re not a Dick, David. Apologies for the harsh framing. It just seemed profoundly disrespectful of Kahn, a person whose job I assume is not primarily PR. Granted you backed away from that repeatedly ... which suggested to me that you knew it was unnecessarily personal to lay it at his feet.

Also true of pretty much any car.

Not a thing. More and more it’s sounding as it might be the Gov’s most redeeming quality. Bad take ... relative to the cars. Hating on mid to late ‘60s Pontiacs is like hating on cute babies, kittens and puppies. What’s not to love?
