I bought a loaded out 02 Sable for $1500 with similar miles and provenance. By my TI calculator that makes this a $2500 car.
The GV80 is simply gorgeous. That can’t be said enough about Genesis design language — inside and out, it’s completely different from any other product on the market, and it is interesting without being busy or polarizing.
I also think the conversion folks really try to stay out of the wiring harness. But I feel like I might have read that Braun only connects to the factory wiring harness with their own harness. No cutting.
Mine are just helper springs not a replacement for the actual springs. So they serve no kneeling function. And if they fail, the van is still sitting on springs. But with an air spring, if it fails, its going to be a serious problem on most any wheelchair van. There will be NO clearance and there will be lots of…
ADA requirement is 56" of height clearance and the low point is always at the top of the tailgate. I load my bikes into the van I daily drive and it’s handy because the retractable hooks make it easy to secure bikes.
On ones I have seen. they are a motor driven strap that just cinches dow the suspension springs.
I have a Caravan and a Pacifica. I’ve only had on electrical problems and that was on the Caravan - power to the fuel pump in fuel cell that was part of the conversion (by ATS)
I have two wheelchair vans with the ramp on the back. They’d probably be great for transporting one motorcycle. But not much else.
Most importantly, the factory warranty stays intact!
Realistically, a van with those miles is probably worth $10k in good condition. That makes the investment pretty borderline.
Some people are contrarians. Like militia people evidently. And PT Cruiser lovers. So perhaps this all fits.
