About 24 years ago, Nissan launched a luxury brad in the U.S. by the name of Infiniti (with an "i" instead of a "y" for some reason). They got a British guy to talk it up so we'd all think of it as European luxury, even though they were Japanese cars built for American audiences.

Man, I posted the Desmo 15 minutes before you, but of course my comment was stuck in purgatory. Obviously their not Snell rated and they don't sell them in the States so its not DOT approved either. Not that that is going to stop me buying one off eBay.
I've given up on them ever getting produced. Those guys really just can't get their shit together and love to blame it on everyone else.
The Roof Desmo. Not quite legal in the States though.
I think I need to take a trip to Brazil...
The 3000 mile oil change isn't exactly a repair, but mechanic's always push it because they make buckets of money off of the people who don't know whats going on and dont want to pay for bigger repairs down the road.
