Except for the USS Kearsarge (even that is named after another ship, which in turn is named after a mountain), no United States battleships have ever been named after people or artifacts. C'mon, Rosetto, you can research better!

Stop by Oppositelock and look for the admins (like Gamecat, DasWauto, Nobody, or Porsche 916 to name a few) just ask and they will give you authorship privledges to post to oppo. From there if the front page guys find stuff interesting/ its a slow day they can share it to Jalopnik.
