100% agree. I'll admit, if I know I'm in an area that no one is likely to park in I park worse. When parking at work for the whole day I often leave my new car across 2 spots (in the back of the lot) to keep people from parking next to me. My previous car lost a mirror and a bumper in the same lot.

I've had it "help" once. My front passenger tire got cut and I didn't see it before i got in my car. Its not like I would have gotten anywhere anyways, but at least I didn't try to drive on it.
