I stopped caring because the show wasn’t really that good. The two-parter pilot was great, but the rest of the episodes were a mixed bag. It didn’t help that they wrote the team as a bunch of thundering assholes that spent half of the time antagonizing Lion-O.

If there was a german cartoon where the heroic lead character was that one machinegunner who killed over 2000 american troops in Omaha beach, you bet your ass many americans would a problem with that.

A real war where thousands of innocent civilians were executed with swords held by Japanese hands.

I don’t know much about MonHun, but isn’t being a Hunter a dead end job in that setting?

There is also Joker, who in the movie is a throwaway character but in the manga he becomes one of Kaneda’s biggest allies.

Shouldn’t have Thanos leave half of the Asgardians in the ship alive?

But how did Kratos get the blades back? ther were kinda lost during GoW3.

IIRC the consensus among experts was that the whole “they think it’s a snake” theory was bollocks, and the cats react like that becuase a cucumber is something weird they can’t identify. So, any object they don’t know could potentially trigger the exact same reaction.

South American person here. “Bodega” is used to call any small shop that sells food products. It isn’t really a common word because most would call such places a “tiendita”, but it does exist.

Death literally can’t matter in a setting that has various tchotchkes and people that can bring the dead back.

That’s actually the first featured Manly Guys in a while that can be understood without following the strip.

Which is something that is common sense everywhere, not only in Japan. That was my point, that poster mentioned about “understanding japan social rules”, and since when not sticking a camera on the face of strangers is a japan-only thing?

That’s exactly my point, it is not a “Japanese social rule” but something that pretty much is common sense.

Uh, that’s like, the opposite of what I said.

But those are social rules that hold true everywhere, not specific “Japanese social rules” as pointed by that poster. If I started filming random people in a steak restaurant on my town, I bet the reactions would be the same as what we can see in that Sushi place, some customers would react angry, some would be

“If you see a lot of enemies in front of you, simply lob a mine and detonate it quickly to deal a lot of damage.”

Social rules about cameras in conveyor belts on a sushi restaurant? Man, Japan is a lot more complicated that I had thought.

As good as GitS is, I will always mantain that Patlabor 2 is Oshii’s true masterpiece, that damn movie is peerless.
