A big problem I had with Spirits Within, was that the main villain’s (who ultimately just wanted to save the earth) plan involving shooting the alien ghosts with a giant space canon, was MUCH more interesting than whatever crap the heroes were doing.

That still doesn’s make much sense to me, because protheses are not exactly a new or rare thing. I just find hard to believe that upon seeing a prosthetic leg people will go from the “yikes, that must have sucked” reaction you would get nowadays, to “I hate you and I must oppress you” in what, the span of a decade?

The whole aspect of Augs as an oppressed minority never made much sense to me, because logically they would be a privileged elite.
