Commenters or writers? Because, yeah, the comments still bear the taint of “gamer culture,” but I think they have a fundamentally decent writing team.

Please explain the mechanism by which Williamson could somehow, years from now, finish his education free of charge, at a highly selective, wildly expensive university that no longer values his skillset. Your vision of collegiate athletics (Exotic travel destinations like Syracuse and Des Moines!  Weekend stays in

Okay, but if that’s the case, why didn’t Kuchar pay his regular caddy the 10%? If your normal caddy is so involved in the day to day improvement of your game (something I’m not sure I buy given the prevalence of swing coaches, strength coaches, sports psychologists, etc.) then surely Kuchar should be out hat least that

Maybe 69 isn’t nearly as ancient as younger people (myself included) tend to think.  People have active, meaningful lives that continue on into their 90s, and some people die at 27.  There's almost no percentage in worrying about a candidates age, vote for the person you think is best for the job.

Surely the platform that has the game you want is de facto the better platform than the one that doesn't?

There is no significant difference between those two things.  If a studio figures that the deal they get from Epic is better for them than releasing on two stores, they're free to take it.  That's how shit works.  Acting like companies should be making business decisions unaffected by things like the tawdry lure of

How do you anticipate actually reckoning with the consequences of the Green New Deal, then? Are people going to change their minds on “socialist” policies all of a sudden? Are “socialist” programs okay, provided they aren’t coupled to other legislation?

They ran a relay for FF IX that was 9 and change, but yeah I'd imagine single digit hour counts are the sweet spot, and even then a relatively limited number of those longer titles,

The nice thing about speed running is that there are categories out there for you. There are loads of games with popular runs that use virtually no glitches. A lot of the older Castlevania and Mega Man games seem to have really dope runs with a minimum of clips or sequence breaks.

I ask this in all sincerity: do you think that the economic consequences of an effort to go carbon neutral can be decoupled from that effort? A lot of people are going to lose livelihoods, and it’s both our responsibility and in our best interest to see to it that those people have a safety net and affordable trading/

I believe the point has also been made that there are too many laws, and too many police interactions as well. I’ve gotten something like 5 minor traffic fees here in Germany over the last two years. Piddly stuff, around 20 USD per, but even a bigger moving violation would be unlikely to involve an actual stop.

Last time I checked the US government didn’t take a position on Mariah Carey concerts, whereas the fingerprints of Saudi Arabia’s ruling elote are all over this kind of shit. So really it’s not so much a “fact” as it is a comparison of apples to kumquats.

What? Steam has an effective monopoly on PC game sales and somehow bitching about its first credible competitor is a fight for choice? That is a weird contortion.

Alright, I’ll tell her and the rest of those young jackanapes to stop cutting through your lawn on the way to the sock hop.

I get that people dislike Bernie Sanders, but why is Stacey Abrams getting this opportunity also a good time to take aim at AOC?  Like, what did she do besides bust her ass to get elected and try to showcase the inner workings of government?

Well he did the HALO jump and learned to fly a helicopter for Fallout.  Who knows what’s next?  Actual working mecha?  Felix Baumgartner style orbital parachuting?  Straight up space marine style orbital drop?  The man has money to burn and evidently no regard for his own existence.

You and I both know he survives that.  He dies racing a motorcycle vertically down an orbital elevator he had built for MI:10

I feel like a Google Sheets doc is more useful, crowdsource that list.

This is the troll fake evil twin of the real Dr. Lizardo.

I can’t argue that the accents are somehow good, or that there’s a payoff there, but the vision we see of Australia is absolutely of a piece with the show’s heightened take on our reality. For every “Drinking Nemo” there’s a “Sting’s Desert Rosé” or a “Tostito’s Public Library, Sponsored by GoDaddy”. Those bricks were
