I can’t hate on the guy. I find him cringey on DDD, sure. But I have to like a guy who genuinely seems to enjoy the same sorts of foods I enjoy eating as much as he does. I’ve taken tips from DDD and visited a small number of places he’s visited, in various cities, and I’ve never been disappointed.

I always wished they would have refined the idea in its sequels instead of abandoning it. I always wanted the player character to have a pencil that they used to physically draw player-chosen POIs on the map and then if they were changed, erase them. I love immersive stuff like that.
