As someone who upgraded to a Pro (and 4k) back when the Pro launched, I now just feel as though this should be the normal cadence for game systems. There never should have been a PS4 Pro. Those internals should have just usurped the then-standard PS4 hardware.

I’m also a Pro owner and feel similarly, but let’s not act like it’s a straight $400 over the existing cost of a system you own. Anyone in their right mind is going to trade up or sell their base hardware on eBay or Craigslist or something to put toward the Pro. That cuts considerably into the upgrade cost. I got $150

No game is worth that. Not one. If more developers would speak about these practices, people would take notice.

Pretty sure someone’s phone autocorrected “girth” to “wealth.”

At this point, I feel as though the entirety of the Trump/WH legal strategy is to just keep introducing so much shit, so many contradictions, so many WTF DID THEY JUST SAY?! moments so as to extend the Mueller investigation indefinitely. If they keep giving the special counsel more and more to parse through, then

“Yeah, but drugs. So who cares?”

We’re not talking about his time as Trump’s lawyer.

I just realized who I replied to. Lolol.

Been seeing this ad a lot lately. Every time it comes on my wife says, “I can’t wait to vote for whomever his opponent is.”

I’m not sure I agree with the fact that AC has the market cornered on tomb exploration games. I think a game based solely on the open world spirit of adventuring and uncovering secrets in hidden, puzzle-laden tombs could do well.

It’s absolutely moronic that they force you to opt into each and every one of these weekly events. The goals/missions should be added automatically to anyone playing during the time frame.

Trying hard at anything was clearly too much work for this game’s team.

I think an open world TR on the scale of, say, Ghost Recon Wildlands or Witcher 3 or Breath of the Wild, where you actually had to explore and investigate to find tombs... THAT would be awesome. Downplay the fighting entirely. Hell, remove it if need be. Just let players explore and find secrets at their own pace.

If anything, only the sequel was spent “spinning.” And if it’s flawed, it’s flawed. Again, maybe it’s just not a good story. Or one you like. That’s... fine. It’s okay to want things to be better.

Says someone who hasn’t finished the story.

You said you think it’s silly for the trilogy to spend three games building up to an answer about who Lara is. I don’t. It seems as though the developers (and many fans) don’t, either.

I put an hour and change into Oceanhorn just this past weekend. Thought I’d love it. It just... didn’t click with me.

You’re allowed to think that. Not every game is made for you and you alone. If you don’t like it, don’t play it.

But I think the point is that, thus far, even SHE doesn’t know who she is. We’re discovering that alongside her. The rebooted trilogy is that story.

Definitely the worst Far Cry I’ve played. Nothing that was done in FC5 was new or done better by a previous entry. The only actual new things - fishing and planes, had no true effect on the game.
