Far Cry REALLY needs a God mode post-game. The ongoing shenanigans would be taken to another level if there was something like the original Crackdown had that let you spawn enemies and items at will. Repopulating outposts and only outposts is not very engaging. The lack of a New Game+ mode is also a letdown.

At least they tried. Nathan Drake is just a murdering psychopath throughout his series. And Lara definitely kills less people in comparison. (Though the body count does tick up in Rise.)

Agreed.

Nah. I like that TR has become darker. It always unnerved me how Nathan Drake would be so quippy while sadistically murdering hundreds of people.

What’s a weapon in the game that’s 100% original? Only one I can think of is the recent fort grenade and it’s hard to call that a weapon.

Seems like only a matter of time before this comes to Switch. I’d kill for this on the go.

Exactly! 6'3", 239 is like NFL-caliber running back or some shit. Not that tub of gravy.

That always bothered me, as well.

Right, that’s what I thought.

Wasn’t that what the hosts would say when looking at something that they were programmed not to notice?

Maybe it’s not necessarily in an ocean at all. China is already fond of making entire replica cities. Maybe in this near-future they put a man-made island (made up of man-mad sub-worlds) in the middle of a vast lake or something?

Not sure I’m on board with these retrospective articles if they’re written so soon after launch. I think 6 months to a year is a more proper cadence. The dust has barely settled on this game and we’re already at this sort of article? Seems a bit rushed.

And the flip side of that is that it’s also probably healthier for the game itself to have some fresh eyes on the product leading things in new directions. As important as it can be to have long-tenured people on an ongoing product, it’s equally beneficial to get new perspectives and ideas in the mix. Hopefully it

I didn’t get it until March, so for me that was always just there. To me, the only new stuff is limited time modes and microtransactions and handful of cosmetics that were prolly planned ages in advance. So I don’t disagree with you. I was just pointing out they have added stuff, technically.

There’s a huge difference between shifting the regularly and never letting one even form/emerge. It seems to me they’re aiming for the second and that made it frustrating for me, personally. But to each their own.

You’re not wrong, but if you waited to get it, you simply didn’t realize there are already 2 new heroes added (as the article states).

Hopefully Disney is paying closer attention to how Marvel is now doing things and course corrects as soon as they are able.

I know it’s been said before, but cosmetics wouldn’t break canon in a series where every main character goes through an outfit change AT LEAST once a movie. That’s all players wanted, NOT (necessarily) pink Darth Vaders.

The lack of a clear learnable meta is fun if you thrive on the chaos, but as someone who was trying to get better, it made it nearly impossible.

Do they still make you exit matches to upgrade your star cards? ‘Cause that was annoying as hell.
