@TaraIncognita: Meh, he'd just declare war on her shins or something.

@braak: Ahhh, but the key point of that sentence is dressed in nothing, not crocs.

@Go Like Hell Machine: Though, in fairness, those are pretty universally a turn-off. Not just for men.

@braak: Wrong, braak; one word.... Crocs.

@Mrs. Lovett: Bourbon in their cereal. Worked for my mother.

@Go Like Hell Machine: Heh. I don't know what a porn "start" is. PLAY on the DVD player, I suppose?

@goldengirl11: In my experience, a straight guy who is "adores" lesbians but is more homophobic around gay men has never actually met a lesbian, and assumes they are all porn starts.

@NefariousNewt: Definitely. Also, if you're a smaller guy, such as myself, you're twice fucked because everything looks completely wrong.

It's the same thing for dudes. It's nearly freakin' impossible to find those types of cut in a suit anymore - new or vintage - not to mention the material. Or, at least to do so without spending thousands of dollars at vintage stores and tailors.

I'm going to regret jumping in this late, but I fail to see how classism is acceptable when racism isn't.

@KillMeNow: Agreed. I got the impression that the writer called out all of the medications by name for the sheer overwhelming-ness of it; not as product placement.

I used to wear makeup in an old band I was in. Then again, we were a Hanoi Rocks/New York Dolls style band, did a lot of drugs and drank all the time. So I refuse to take any responsibility for the mascara and sleeveless mesh shirt.

@HelloTitty: Also, they're running a Season 1 marathon this weekend.

I actually like that she takes on Islam explicitly. There's been dozens of Western authors who have taken on the multiple faces of Christianity. Next, I want to see someone take on Hindu. Then Buddhism. Hell, take on the spaghetti monster, too.

@sybann: Heh. I have, like, three of those shirts in various colors. And two of the one on the other dude.

@ronaldpagan: I think he's playing to who he's going to have to play to, which is all the folks that swing to and fro from R to D. Thing is, there's a lot of folks in the middle of the country who aren't sold on him, and he knows it. And, as much as I'd like all the things all of you pointed out in the thread

Turn 'em into MadLibs and send back.

@Go Like Hell Machine: I should also mention that I'm not advocating this for Hezbollah or the Islamic Brotherhood, etc... But Hamas was more less fairly elected, which makes them slightly different than other groups.

@marin79: So, maybe out of my argumentative nature, or out of the whiskey I've been drinking... I ask this, but what exactly is the difference between, say, the IRA and Hamas? Or, better yet, why would we not approach Hamas in the same way we approached the IRA?
