I have the same issues. I wish they would work on making the service more stable instead of adding stupid image syncing and the like. I just want something that lets me text from the web (or their tablet app) reliably. Unfortunately, there aren't many other options, so I continue to use it. Although I find myself

I've tried mighty text, and I've found it to be unreliable. Airdroid sometimes has a slight lag while the page shows the text, but mighty text would sometimes just not display a received text. I'd have to exit and reload the whole thing.

Themer home screens are always cool for a day or two and then I miss my widgets.

My boyfriend and I don't agree on our answers to all of these questions but you know what, we're going to make it anyway. We're going to do it the same way our grandparents' generation did by just sucking it up and sticking together out of spite all the way though the lovey-dovey stage, into the annoyed stage, and

It's fucking MIT! The country's most famous tech school being unable to keep their website working is like Yoda asking you to grab the remote control while you're up.

I'm surprised to not see Plex here. Definitely my favorite app for streaming videos and music from your home network to the Chromecast. Seems to handle any video format with ease. The Android / ios apps are great too. I think it's $6/mo for the Plexpass that allows you to do this. Worth it!

Vote: Evernote/Evernote Food

Why: It's flexible, taggable, web-clipperable, shareable, and free! I keep a shared notebook with my wife, and we both clip recipes to it, and tag them with key ingredients, cuisines, etc. Evernote Food is better for discovery, and presents stuff in a nice browseable format as well.

wtf! You can enter a pipe to get the warpzone in 4-2?!

After they shut down our beloved Reader...EVIL

NO to all of that fic. Just NO. That was NOT Hermione. At all. They changed the most fundamental parts of her character and changed her into the experimenting college girl trope. In conclusion: NO

Look, if I wanted depressing, realistic endings I would have read Game of Thrones.

Every time I see a picture of your workspace I get jealous. I may actively hate you, in fact.

Confused why #fuckcoke is trending on twitter. I thought Philip Seymour Hoffman died of a heroin overdose

Its gotta be the tip that brought me to lifehacker. XBMC! and build your own Media center computer.

I would suggest grabbing a cheap computer to put MythTV backend on. You don't need much power here, so you could probably hack together enough processing power with a Raspberry Pi. If you want something that is more expandable and has more common components in it, there are some well priced "Next Unit Of Computing"

I'm a VERY happy user of a linux XBMC set up with a HDHomeRun networked 3-tuner and Cable Card from Comcast. I use MythTv as a backend and the MythTV PVR plugin for XBMC. It's so solid that my wife, 6 year old, and 3 year old all use the media center in our living room as the main set up. With DLNA/UPnP the DVR
