Like men trying to dictate the amount of tampons you’re allowed to buy, or policing breastfeeding, abortion is a vital right in a free society that these rednecks have zero business dictating policy on.

Its just mind boggling, like..this isn’t a debate haha. An abortion is a super basic right, and the only ground they have to stand on is extremely nebulous and archaic religious text..which can’t remotely be used to inform laws or policy, separation of church and state is extremely vital for reasons just like that.

For the last time, there’s no babies involved in abortions.

I’m enjoying the romanization of the katakana spelling of "hallelujah" haha

There’s a small shop up the street from me that exclusively sells MTG products and has been that way for the 15 or so years it’s been open.

My experience is that the people who say real gamers don’t care about politics are usually the bubble dwellers, as the expression itself is declaring you live in a “no politics” bubble (but for some reason are doing a ton of posts here). If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t be here.

Pokémon is the single most profitable entertainment franchise in history, and has generated $105 billion in revenue in only 25 years. I'm pretty sure they'll manage this.

This same company has been reselling/selling MtG cards at stores that only sell that for 12 years, per the article…..I think they know what they’re doing.

Hey John, you aren’t “pro-life”, you are just anti-choice. If you were pro-life we’d have heard all about your stances on free Medicare, sensible gun control laws, celebrating the end of the Afghan war (and protesting all other wars), advocating for Covid vaccines ... and yet, you haven’t said any of those things.

It’s possible to have rational discourse about abortion. However this law isn’t about regulating abortion or in any degree rational. It asks citizens to be suspicious and report on their neighbors and puts bounties on women’s heads! How can you defend that?!

May I ask what “CABLE ADD” means on this business card? I have a vague understanding about what Telex was (a then-modern version of the telegraph), but that’s a mystery to me.

The internet is the best and worse thing that has happened to our world. Originally the anonymity emboldened people to say things they normally would not say aloud. That same boldness has transferred to these people even after the anonymity has been removed. So we get to see the true face of these idiots and then they

I mean, not that i’m surprised you’re either making stuff up or seeing something that isn’t there in The14th’s post, but there’s literally zero rage in their comment.

As for the escapism bit, John Gibson is being as much of a “political activist” in his tweet (and in his games, apparently, with those cringy lyrics).

Ha

Well, this is a company about to go through some things

I disagree that it’s predatory, but I think their monetization system is definitely aggressive and obviously bad. It is at least obvious that a new 5star character will outright cost you around 75-100$USD.

The game is designed to make you spend money. “Forcing” is an interesting term here. The game doesn’t force you to be a whale, sure, but mechanically it’s entirely designed to push the player in that direction. So the game isn’t forcing you, but it is making that suggestion constantly.

But it takes an immense amount of resources to max out newly acquired characters, so I can’t experience her full potential right away. I’m quick to switch Aloy out whenever an enemy approaches.

I still don’t understand why they made her Ice element...why not fire (explosives) or lightning (robot hacking, lasers) like she uses in her source game?
