I'm listening. Argue it.

Good thing Kotaku isn’t an exclusively Gaming website in the first place then huh?

They were the same generation, the PS2 just lasted longer. In any case, they stopped running games off discs afterwards and they’ve generally installed themselves to run off hard drives or flash media ever since.

No, not Dreamcast. The PS2.

You mean over 9.03, to downgrade it?

I can’t disagree, being a primarily PC gamer and having owned two standard Ps4s and Pro. But you can’t argue with the first-party titles really making it worth owning one. Jaguar cores though? What a strange decision. The Series X and Ps5(which I somehow managed to buy without markup) are on a little more even footing

They found the exploit by comparing 9.03 to 9.00. Pretty sure Sony already knew..........

Good for those who do this stuff I guess? I always thought the PS4 was horribly underpowered on release, compounded now. Whole last gen felt very underpowered, as it goes.

No, boot discs went the way of the dodo with the Dreamcast.

Same. Called out a genuinely shitty article by a shitty author (albeit with some colourful language admittedly) and attracted the ire of the Polygon army. Before bringing the ban hammer down, they had a fair few choice words. Best part of it all? They changed the article and title to what I said they should have been

CASEY WASSERMAN

To hell with both The Verge and Polygon. Both websites are garbage and run by garbage people. And have been for the most part ever since they were both started.

Nintendo uses emulation for the NES and SNES Online, as well as for the Virtual Console of yesteryear. Things like the Megaman Legacy Collections are also running old games via emulation. GOG sells plenty of old games using DOSBox, a DOS emulator.

Sorry you’re right. They definitely were doing it for the women when they dragged a pool into their bedrooms in order to get into a bathing suit.

For a music guy, the sound quality of that was surprisingly shitty.

Repros are much less common for Japanese games. The market for games in Japanese is just much smaller due to the smaller population and low rates of Japanese as a 2nd language speaker compared to English. A French SNES collector would be more likely to want US Chrono Trigger over JP due to just being more likely to

Its weird that these games that were part of the install base are sold for so much. I don’t get it. In Japan, They play with Collectors items. WE buy em and instantly Flip em to eBay

I actually have an Ouya, and the majority of the games I got for it are really a lot of fun. I still think that “No Brakes Valet” is probably the best Intellivision-style (in looks and feel) game on the system, and it’s a riot to play.

Amen to all that, I share those sentiments too. Rather have Okami voice acting over bad  real ones.

Imagine being such an amoral piece of garbage that you care more about legality than morality.
