It’s definitely a plus. “Switch + TV” is leagues ahead of any other gaming arrangement when it comes to keeping things cool. My HDMI amp alone produces an absurd amount of heat on its own when not doing anything.

I have a 1080ti and a 10600K on air. I spent a fair bit on that copper for both, but finally, for the first time in at least 20 years, I can say that my computer is quiet enough when gaming. The GPU not spinning up really does make a massive difference to how much I enjoy games.
