Last I checked, BMW was a car company. Not a, Cater-only-to-enthusiasts-who-demand-RWD-company. That's just a bad business model.
Not really for you to decide, pal. I wonder every single day who would buy a Murano Cross Cabriolet and just the other day I saw my first one out in the wild. The dude had bug-eyed sunglasses to say the least.
I felt as though it looked very similar to the Mercedes A-class, and suddenly it's particular target market became very clear. I'm with you Victor, couldn't have said it (in as many words) better myself.
Most would rather speak ill of a new car idea before even seeing one in person (GT-86, FWD BMW, Mini Countryman), much less driving one for themselves and seeing whether or not all their soap-boxing was actually worth its weight in salt.
I think most would be an overstatement. I can agree on 50/50. Usually you can tell when Jezza and Co. are being sarcastic, or making gross exaggerations. When it comes to the exciting things about cars (power figures, lap times, credibility, etc) it all looks legit to me. As an aside, I didn't watch any of their…
While most comments argued the Top Gear bit being staged, this is the real issue. I know that hotwiring has been around for decades, but increasing the digital identity of cars is only going to encourage hacking the software in much less time than hacking the hardware. The main difference being, I suppose, is that…
On the opposite side of the spectrum from Conner's Day, Social Media is destructive to society.
Made my day. People can make fun of the Zune as long as they want (or as long as they'll even remember). They just don't know...they just don't know, man.
I was an OG Brown (yes, I went for it) 30gb user, later replaced by the 16gb mini Zune in Gloss Black when I broke the screen on the OG unit...I will forever regret not taking the offer from MS Customer Service on a discounted 2nd Gen Zune.
Grr Kinja
And if they're corduroys? Forget it!
Aside: Can we get a high rez of the title image? Boner-jam Wallpaper material.
One of my all-time favorite car ads ever.
Are you driving with a bunch of stuff in your hands?
Glad to hear an actual owner chime in. I wasn't aware that it was just a gimmick of the episode and not necessarily real. In any case, I was only using the example as a segway into my point about keyless ignition.
Allow me to clarify. I was talking about the type of keyless entry/ignition that only requires the key be near the car. A lock/unlock button keyfob is not what I meant.
When it comes to keyless entry/ignition I'm always reminded of the Top Gear UK episode when Clarkson drives off in Hammond's Challenger because Hammond is sitting close enough to the car. No thanks. I am not that lazy that I am incapable of putting a key in the ignition and turning it. In fact, I can't think of a time…
If it were AWD, it would easily become my 'gotta have it' dream car. It does tick 99% of the right boxes though. All it's missing is a yellow cross-striped offset. You know Somebody is going to do it.
