That's the part I don't get either. If there's so much evidence/rumors stacking up that Ewanick had ill-intentions where this deal led to his termination, why would they claim to go through with it? Good business relations?

"As with most things, GM could have handled this better - from the vague explanation they gave Automotive News, to allowing a shitstorm of rumor and innuendo to dominate the conversation, rather than executing a dignified, professional separation from the get-go."
The middle part of this whole article is a bit unclear. Are you trying to force the implications of his real estate dealings to his deal with ManU? It sounds like there was money on the side for him has been implied and then is haphazardly linked to a few properties he owns.
I imagine this speech being given just before the big championship game [sales event] in the locker room [dealership]. You do, however, overlook how far the Wrangler has come in the last decade. Even though the 4-doors are pulling a premium these days, they are incredibly capable and dare I say it, good looking. Very…
If I read that correctly, it mentions turning the T&C into a cross-over by 2015...wait, what? One of the best selling Minivan names of all time and they're going to slowly merge it into an already over-populated SUV market?
Excellent relevant post
It spawned quite a sub-discussion for sure.
Oh come off it. Let's try posting announcements without crap snide comments, shall we?
Not that advanced when a diesel with half as many computers can do the same thing.
I agree the initial point of who would buy an M3 was a bit misdirected and could be interpreted the wrong way. I was more concerned with how the speculation was being interpreted as truth and that is how my frustration was verbalized.
Unfortunately, most of those on your side are not nearly as well spoken as you are.
Precisely why the subframe notch has become so popular.
Your final statement is why I posted in the first place. The manual-less rumor is reported untrue elsewhere, and the M3 is still going to be produced. As will a coupe version (M4).
Simply because the information is out there: The 4-series will replace the coupe 3, and we will have an M4 probably around the same time as the sedan. Don't take it too personally, you are one of many people playing right into this discussion.
And an aside: I also revel in the brain-melting ability of the Vortex.
My favorite part of all the M3/4 crybabying is that 99% of these commentators never intended to buy an M3, much less a BMW, or never will. But let's all jump on the cry-foul bandwagon and develop opinions based off of speculation and 1/4 of a blog post. I'm sure BMW cares about what all of your highly educated jargon…
Jalopnik (and 90% of its commentators), along with the rest of the automotive blogosphere would rather cry foul for hits than post any real useful information.
You, and everybody else who is crying foul on the lack of coupe, are a (bunch of) moron (s).
On that last note, I have the same opinion of people driving cars. From Jezzer himself, you don't want the guy who doesn't care about cutting hair to take a pair of scissors to your head now do you?
anyone else notice the second Delorean leaving from the intersection? What are the odds?
