Or King Kong. And if you want to get into the Ultraman pantheon of monsters, you can include King Joe, Red King, Black King and a handful of others that just like adding the work “King” to their names. Too many kings!

Gunn wrote the Guardians’ dialogue in Infinity War.
Thankfully, he is not rapping a lot after Down. I do like Amber though...
Drummer dude was good for 311 when I saw them in concert many moons ago.
The sexual assault scene is so off-putting and bizarre, particularly because it’s such an unnecessary change from the original story, where the two have consensual sex that leads to the woman’s death (since they don’t notice that her hair has fallen into the water).
You would be correct. The slick of goo looked like a bunch of black hefty lawn bags taped together. The jock guy also gets pulled through the planks all at once instead of gradually, which was by far the most unsettling image from the story.
The only Creeepshow story that always stuck with me was “They’re Creeping up on You” because come on, cockroaches are fuckin’ gross.
Oh, I think TFTC batted above .500.
arguably one of the best who ever did it
There were probably less then 10 people. It was a multiplex in Burbank. Afterwards, some woman in a pantsuit, probably the lackey of a studio executive, stopped people on the way out and asked what they thought of the movie. I gave it a thumbs up, but that didn’t seem to help anything.
Fair enough. I guess I misremembered. For some reason I recall it being something worse, albeit nothing like the stuff Harvey has committed, which I acknowledged in my OP.
I would just add Bob Ross to that list of Jim Henson and Fred Rogers. Three very influential and positive people who where major influences for me as a kid.
Jewel of the Nile was still decent, but I can’t deny that it just isn’t nearly as fun of a ride as Romancing the Stone. Trying to follow up with a sequel in a little more than one year was a mistake.
Thankfully the Douglas-Turner-DeVito troika restored that goodwill with The War of the Roses.
It was one of the only Raiders rip-offs that understood what made the Indy character work - it allowed him to be out of control of the situation, and just kinda going along for the ride. He wasn’t a super action hero or invincible or anything of the sort. He was just a person who got caught up in the adventure and…
Yeah, that line was great. He really showed what he could do in Romancing The Stone - before that he was just the ageing pretty boy from Streets of San Francisco.
A few years back, Lee finally admitted on camera that Ditko was just sending in complete pages with the word balloons drawn but empty for Lee to fill. Lee said that the stories were pretty self explanatory through the drawings.
Me too. As a kid I usually watched it with the sound off until I saw the trolley. I turned the sound up for Neighborhood of Make Believe, then turned the sound off until it was over. Not only did i find it boring, but I was offended someone was pretending to talk to me individually when I knew they were talking to…
WW has the same general problems that comic book adaptations have (like I have the same issues I have with it that I do even with the best MCU movies), but its actually a good movie, which is not something that can be said about the rest of the DCU.
Yeah the 92 RT rating is too high as it still has a lot of the problems that comic book movies do, but 37 points higher than the next official DCEU movie (I don’t always keep track, but I assume that doesn’t include the Nolan Batmans) seems about right to me.
