When I was living in SF in the 90's, not only did I see Dark City but most of my friends did too.

The Legend of 1900 is an excellent, overlooked choice. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a “great” movie (it’s often clumsy, poorly paced, and the framing story doesn’t work) but it’s weird, wonderful and a movie that I love.
Danny Boyle strikes me as somebody far more willing to compromise and work with producers so, if Boyle was feeling too stifled to work on the film, I can’t see Wright going for it. I think this is another round of “name your favorite Brit for Bond” just with directors.
I enjoyed Norton’s film, quite a bit. It rebooted the character but skipped the origin story, several of the action scenes were quite good, and Norton was a pretty comfortable fit with Bruce Banner. I think it’s often unfairly maligned.
I remember the first VMAs and, fuck, was it an embarrassment.
I saw that short that Chance did a few years back, Mr. Happy, and, even though it was pretty much a showy role, tailor-designed to showcase his acting ability, he was really good. The kid is talented.
Oh yeah, he basically raped her then told he was going to protect her before the film cruelly kills her. In Spectre, he pretty much rapes Monica Bellucci too.
Is your friend super-small because, while I love Dio, the dude was tiny
I wasn’t aware there was a fixation on her.
This guy had so much cool and uncool swag.
I never got the whole fixation on Trachtenberg. I always assumed that it was some Lolita thing being that she was one of the few actors who was actually as young as she was playing.
I guess not wanting to get raped by Fred Armisen on a train constitutes “gay panic” now
Yeah, Iko Uwais deserves better than this and bullshit cameo in a Star Wars film.
I remember, as a kid, my cable movie service (because you only got one back in the day) was the not-quite-HBO channel, Spotlight which boasted a pre-TCM Robert Osbourne and the willingness to show some R-rated films in the morning.
Just about everybody that I know, or have seen online, that has been using it in the past year since they dropped the price to $10/month have been doing so with their eyes open. Their constant refrain has been “this is a great deal that can’t possibly last but it’ll be a great ride while it does!”
See? Douchey.
Eh, it’s a douche move but go ahead and let your douche flag fly.
I’m good with this.
I guess Hollywood is ignoring Black Panther’s success and probably focusing on the apparently disappointing box office for A Wrinkle in Time as sign that non-white films don’t travel.
I mean - I’m old. I remember when comic books were 10 cents, but I’ve never heard anyone complain about the cost of comics or crackers or all the other myriad items that cost a lot more than they once did.
