Still the best Lois Lane.
Charlize was amazing and Diablo is fearless.
What I took from it, this idea of “What has my life become, who am I now, and what would my younger idealistic self make of me” was perfectly served by the narrative device they used.
Your younger self wouldn’t hate you, he/she’d look out for you - cos you’re still that…
I saw this film this weekend and thought it was amazing. It made me realize how little stories about the women who are mothers are actually told. Yeah, there’s a whole genre of realistic parenting shows or TV shows, but what makes Tully so different is how it’s not about the bond between a mother and her kids (Better…
I thought Charlize was amazing and I hope the Academy remembers this film next January.
It’s actually funny cause Princy + Pauper was one of the last Oakley/Weinsteins.
The renewal will give Bob’s Burgers nine seasons, so if it follows the Simpsons model, it still has a few more years before it turns bad.
Why does it always have to be a scrappy kid? I’ve never found scrappy anything to be particularly funny. Scrappy kids always have bowl cut hairdos, freckles, and carry beat-up backpacks - how is that funny? Even Scrappy Doo sucked. Just sayin’.
Aww, I love these two dead assholes.
She became New Girl’s stealth weapon- the straight (wo)man who was able to get reliable laughs just in reaction shots or line delivery
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching these clips. They clearly loved each other. But damn, Siskel’s put-downs were weak compared to Ebert’s.
he’s fantastic, but i agree he can’t carry it solo, he feeds off and improves talent around him.
Yeah... I kinda cringed at the whole scrappy orphan kid travel with a grown ass man trope. Can we do without the kid? I would love to watch this show without the kid.
One local candidate being saucy about an organization doesn’t create a party-wide identity crisis. While I can’t say his method will be effective-largely because of comments like yours, both sincere and disingenuous, that will happily get hung up by the language at the expense of the message- I’m all for Democrats…
Earl Sweatshirt? That explains a lot. Thought those had a weird quality to them.
Has he done anything else besides the Earl vids and Atlanta?
He’s so good—I can’t wait to see what else he’s going to do. Atlanta has so many beautiful, weird, and beautiful-weird shots and moments.
I’m 8 episodes in, and I too really enjoying it. It still doesn’t feel all that much like the original show - it’s still basically one 11-hour episode - but it moves so much faster and is so much livelier this way. Just when I start to get sick of one plotline, it switches to something else.
The updated edit really did make a huge difference.
I....kinda thought the Vixen won the lip synch. Better dancing, better emoting, and an extra reveal. But I can understand Ru making a different call given that she had been on the bottom twice before. And also, I think the “have you made peace with Eureka” question in the workroom might have been a bit of a test.
