I only knew of him from @midnight, so this has been more surprising than I’m comfortable admitting to. My assumption was always that his behavior as the host was a persona for the show, meant to reflect how the subject (the internet) was just so ridiculous, loud, and annoying; in that context it made sense, I guess.
