The homestands were killing it before COVID and when they did them last year. I actually think the move to the home markets was really smart and appeared to be working based off the early results. And keep in mind they never got to host of any of the events in the Asian markets where a quarter of the league is based.

I’m an OWL stan and I hope they make it to the point of getting to do live events again.

Same. I know I’m an Overwatch stan so I’m sure that factors in here but it does seem to be completely unimpressive and uninteresting visually. Either go full realism a la CS or full fantasy a la OW. Trying to split the difference ends up in a weird space aesthetically.

My wife, who begrudgingly puts up with OWL on TV virtually all weekend, was throughly rivetted and delighted by the Hero Bans segment. It quickly went from “The matches are over, why are we still watching this” to constant giggles and outright explosive laughter.

I feel terrible for the league because I think they were really counting on those Asian homestands from a financial perspective. The domestic homestands have all been pretty electric and packed this year so I think the league is doing okay so far with this approach. It's just really unfortunate that matches in Asia

Yeah I'm struggling to see a scenario where resurrecting the Blizzard Arena is not the most expeditious path forward. Plus it will give folks like me a chance to see live Overwatch this year after having been able to check out matches the first two seasons.

Total hyperbole. I only really get to play on the weekends and changes are exceedingly rare. And it's not like you have to play comp if you don't want to deal with this.

The post on the OWL site said teams would have a week's notice about which characters will be unavailable.

I can't speak to that. I would see io9 articles about her series and how much people loved it so I gave it a shot. In fact, io9's coverage of The Visions series is what got me into reading comic books and not just being a fan of Marvel in film and TV. At least for me, that hype was instrumental in introducing me to a

I didn't get the Squirrel Girl hype. And then I read her series. The books are hilarious and zig when they should zag. She's an incredibly endearing character who stands our amongst other heroes of the Marvel universe.

That Carol is just amazing. I really wish there was a way to purchase these but it doesn't look like he has a store setup yet.

LOL. Thanks for playing.

I’ve played OW religiously since launch (probably dozens of hours per week) and I’ve never spent a single dime on a loot box. All they’ve ever gotten from me is the initial 40 bucks. I’d be thrilled to compensate them for all of the content I’ve already received and will probably buy OW2 even though I’m more into PVP.

I assume you’re referring to the Hearthstone ban. Can you tell me what has to do with your assertion that OW 2 is a cash grab when you literally don’t have to buy it to enjoy new features, maps, and characters?

I don't think they play but there are lots of people who love the lore and characters but only comfortable with a story mode. I don't get it but it's a thing.

Haven’t they added several maps, characters, and game modes/events since the game was released in 2016? All of that stuff was free. They’re building a dedicated solo mode that people who don’t enjoy PVP have been clamoring for. If you don’t want that, don’t buy OW 2 and you’ll still get the new heroes and maps.

Tickets now available on Harkins.com. Scored tickets to the 9:30 showing on the 19th and the 11:30 showing on Saturday.

My patella disclosed and then snapped itself back into place. The problem is that once this happens, the ligament becomes more elastic and it takes less lateral or rotational force to dislocate the patella again.

I discloated my patella my junior year of high school in the middle of a tennis match and its become a chronic source of frustration in my life. I’ve had two different surgeries to repair and eventually replace the ligament that was damaged when the dislocation happened.

As someone who was born in San Diego and still roots for their teams, watching what the Chargers have become is delicious. I became a Seahawks fan when they left San Diego and I've never looked back. The Chargers are getting exactly what that trash organization deserves.
