Agree about Zora’s Kingdom. It was also my first Divine Beasts and it made the game feel lived in. Unfortunately, it did sort of ruin my expectations about the other major cities. I didn’t feel like any of them were nearly as vast or interesting.

Something shockingly similar happened to me but it’s because I was uncircumcised at 19. Torn foreskin is not fun. Needless to say, I rectified that situation. At 19. Which is its own embrassing horror story.

I’m similarly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I’ve never really watched any esports or streams before, but I love the game and enjoyed the broadcast. I’m thinking of taking my 7-year old 75 miles to Burbank to check it out in person, too.

It’s not that she didn’t know. She always knew. But she refused to accept it because it meant she was truly alone and there would be no cavalry to save her.

I assumed that was a given. Anyone else would be crucified for not listening to the anthem before the game.

Completely agree. The way it was filmed and the fact that everything went quiet just punctuated the moment so well. Likely my favorite Star Wars moment of all time. Just so well done.

It’s obvious he learns. When Luke goes out to face the First Order, Finn instantly wants to fight (what Poe would have done at the start of the movie). But be realizes there’s virtue in surviving the battle to fight the war. So he uses Luke as a diversion to escape, which shows he absolutely did learn and grow. And

He’s absolutely the future leader of the Resistance. Pretty infeasible for a guy that was was supposed to die crash landing on Jakku.

It’s comments like this, and all the ones below, that make me feel like I’ve found my people through Deadspin.

Never underestimate the Republican proclivity for shooting themselves in the foot with awful candidates like Akin, Murdock, and O’Donnell.

As someone who works in marketing, branding, and PR for a billion-dollar tech company, I can confirm the navel-gazing and jargony drivel is legitimately as infuriating and arrogant as Drew mocks.

Fry your turkeys! It’s liberating from a time perspective and produces magic that roasting cannot replicate. I’ve tried roasting, smoking, and trying brined turkeys, and nothing beats frying.

I’m not seeing a problem here.

I support this. I’m 33 and I literally can’t remember eating Thanksgiving dinner any time other than 3 to 4. I can get up at 8 and still reasonably assemble the feast I have planned just as the noon sausage tray will be losing effect.

They certainly never seem to be the ones we hear from after a mass shooting. Which is disappointing. Because it would really help to hear from reasonable gun owners that don’t think monthly mass shootings should be the acceptable cost of what comprises freedom in their view.

I think the problem is that folks like you are absolutely the exception, and not the rule. Thus, you’re going to get unfairly lumped in with a bunch of other people (such as the dude on this thread who’s excited about the chance to kill us when society falls).

So how do you protest then? As a white person, it feels like we keep telling people: “Yes, yes, you can protest. But not like THAT.”

It’s a legitimate source of debate among a lot of people: If we truly aspire to be the leading, modern country, can we condone state-sanction murder via execution? Doesn’t that cross some sort of red line? It’s also interesting which countries still have it and which don’t (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishm

Congrats! I’m a long suffering Padres fan and I have significant doubts we’ll ever get to the promised land. I was rooting hard for you guys the whole series.

Thanks!
