… And exactly how I felt about Whiplash. Great movie with even better performances and Something To Say, but I made absolutely no emotional connection with it.

Although I would never (again) voluntarily go to a TGI Friday's, I kinda love him for saying that with complete sincerity.
I agree. I think someone said in last week's comments that the twist could be that Henry's the one who discovers their identities. That, or both kids find out and he embraces it while Paige freaks out.
Dub-Dub! That show earned her a "Do whatever the heck you want for the rest of your career, and I'm totally there" pass from me.
BRAVO TO THE TRANSCRIPTIONIST.
But! But! I thought our Tweets will be stored in the Library of Congress!!! (And I am deeply scared of what future archaeologists will deduce about us based solely on our Tweets. Yikes.)
Ah, but how can OITNB exist in Jane the Virgin's universe if she's on both shows? Hmm. Maybe one of them takes place five years in the future, and Lina is Maritza's fresh new start after getting out of prison, complete with name change and a fabulous set of food service skills.
Yup. I hope she's the new villain — if they have to keep her around at all. I was afraid that her alliance with Henry was a fakeout and that she would reveal that she was playing him in order to bring him down. I'm glad that the Turn to the Dark Side was genuine. It makes her slightly more interesting.
Indeed. What's going on there? I know UPN is desperate for more viewers, yet they can't be bothered to make the full season (or at least the earlier episodes) available online.
Yeah, on my way home I also listened to Sepinwall's podcast, and he sounds 99% certain that The Americans will at least get a fourth season, and possibly a fifth. He knows a lot more than I do about the business side of things, so I'm feeling much better about getting more of my beloved Soviet spies.
Have you been listening to Slate's The Americans podcast with Joe & Joel and some of the other writers/producers? They sound so confident about at least one more season. But considering how low the ratings are…. *sigh*
For that matter… why is it that any time a non-AVC site dares to post something about The Americans, half the comments along the lines of, "Nobody watches this stupid show"? Drives me absolutely crazy.
That explains a lot about Maya Rudolph.
I'd never seen "Foswhitt" until your comment, so I googled it because I like name origin stories. And his story… is really kinda sweet. Reminds me of my sister's name, which is a combination of my parents' names.
I'm pretty sure that is the most delightful bit of trivia I'll hear all weekend.
I think my alternate universe 'ship is now Martha/Oleg. If nothing else, they would be ridiculously entertaining. (That said, bring back Nina. NOW. Please?)
These two episodes (especially the second) felt a bit too much like the writers plugging in all of the greatest hits one last time, but I don't mind because we only have seven more episodes. DAMMIT.
Hmm. If Irving's soul still belongs to Henry, it means Henry's still alive and might return for some soul-cashing-in. That's enough motivation for Katrina to lie. (Also: UGH.)
Indeed. I really love and respect how he has extended his vehement fight to encompass all types of human rights, such as immigration reform, LGBT activism, pacifism, and oppressed people all over the world. He has been labeled one of the most liberal members of Congress, and he seems to be quite proud of that. If you…
FWIW, Melissa Harris-Perry's MSNBC show is a lot like that, though certainly less comedy-oriented. I find myself watching it more and more often when I'm home on weekend mornings. She's a great panel host.
