Wow, you must've been paying off a lot of bad karma with that run of shows. :)

As Hannibal says in the finale, "The opportunity to guide and in many ways direct a life." [shudder]

I managed to miss all the promotions - whatever they were. I tuned in because I knew Bryan Fuller was the showrunner and I figured that was worth watching at least the pilot. So I watched the pilot and it had this sort of sick, fascinating hold over me, and when the next week rolled around I found myself watching the

You can also buy via iTunes if you're so inclined; since they're short seasons, it's not a big investment.

I think you've hit on why Rectify is so incredible. Of course the creators behind every television show are careful with every detail, but in Rectify the gradual accumulation of detail is all there is. Little-known fact: Dewey Crowe is actually one of the failed "DWY" androids, originally developed to grow artificial organs for later transplant. The project was shut down and all units decommissioned after they proved unstable. (And troublingly attracted to alligator teeth jewelry.)

Wow, friend-o, you are awfully defensive about "just a TV show."

True! Well then… carry on, I guess? [sigh]

Ahem, that's Judge Kluger the Magnificent to you.

Dear Will, just go buy yourself a red convertible already, 'kay?

BRB gotta go photoshop fiery wings into every photograph of myself. RISING! FROM THE ASHES!

No, in modern tele you need to interrogate the idea that a robot built to do a task like policing has to be male, and a robot built to provide sexual gratification has to be female. Because obviously the only humans with a sex drive are straight men.

The problem is, of course, that futuristic shows are still created in the present, so they bring the same tired gender BS along with them. But look - flying cars! [sigh]
