THANK YOU for saying this. I also came from a family where not only my mother got fucked over, but almost every single one of my aunts got fucked over. And some of those women are still in their marriages and tell me they’re happy. But, they sure as fuck don’t look happy.

I’m sure it’s because I’m a barren millennial spinster with no prospects but I’m also sure it’s because I watched my mother and aunts struggle in their relationships with men that I am convinced that marriages with men are a true dice roll in life.

“they are being asked to debase themselves in front of yet another group”...

Don’t just fire, prosecute.

Yeah, every time I see someone say that women in power will stop things like this, I think about my shitstain senator, Marsha Blackburn. That being said though, if many more women were found at every level of the power structure it would hopefully be less terrible. Hopefully.

Getting women in places of power in these agencies would go a long way to stopping this shit. Not all of it, but it might be a start.

I was about to argue that we need women in places of power, such as the FBI, but then I realized we’d end up with Tina Tchen, Roberta Kaplan, Lisa Bloom, Amy Klobuchar, Sophia Amoruso or Mandy Grunwald types.

Edited: he asked her that after she spoke to him on the phone with her initial report, not in today’s testimony.

I just saw when McKayla testified about the FBI lying about her report, etc. the agent asked her “is that all?”

It’s sickening what these women went through just to get someone to listen to them. No amount of hearings, finger pointing, or Senate speeches can make up for the failures of government to protect or even believe these young ladies.

One of the most shocking details was how incredibly bad both of these agents were at lying.

Are y’all kidding with this headline? Yes, we know Newsom is garbage. I look forward to voting against him next year. But Jesus Christ, is right now the moment for this? When we’re at the tail end of a Republican recall campaign that we know could easily go the other way? Wouldn’t you rather remind your readers to get

For real dude. They seem to want us to peace out. So, bye.

Hear! Hear! I am an old, life-long Californian. Ronald Reagan was my introduction to rethuglicans. I’ve not trusted one since. Newsom is no hero but he’s a good guy who is trying to do (mostly) the right things. If Elder gets the Governorship and something happens to Dianne Feinstein, he’ll appoint a rethuglican to

I completely agree. I am done as well. The irresponsibility of this article on the eve of a recall and at a time when women’s rights have never been so threatened in our lifetimes is absolutely breathtaking.

What the actual fuck is this article? This weird “both sides are awful” when one side is trying to keep people from getting sick and dying, but also said some crap things and went to a fancy restaurant that one time, and the other side wants to remove all mask mandates, limit voting rights, limit the right to choose

Congratulations. This is the straw that broke me. After I publish this comment I will be blocking this site and never returning.

I can’t tell when it exactly happened, but this place has become a total dumpster fire. And inhaling smoke causes cancer.

ewsom never seemed to take responsibility for the danger in which his remarks placed members of Asian American communities—nor has he addressed his reluctance to re-open nail salons, 80 percent of which are owned by Vietnamese residents of California.

Another take: nail salons are a luxury item, and as much as people have built their livelihood around their existence, it doesnt change the fact that it is not a critically important business to reopen. Also who are you going to flash your nails when we are trying to social distance.

I put my vote in the mail weeks ago to keep Newsom. While he’s done some questionable things, he isn’t a literal garbage bag full of shit like Larry Elder.
