Absolutely agreed. Usually when people get away with violence, it's because there's a societal tolerance or even support for it. There has to be a system that excuses this behaviour for it to flourish enough to be a pattern.

They just want full control of women and our bodies: impregnation, termination, abandonment. Everything. They hate the idea of women having any agency at all. I think that's why they're so angry, because this idea is taken seriously by society.

It's a power thing. Condoms show respect for your partner, and in MRA land, sex and respect are opposites, as sex is about domination.

Sure, it was a dick thing to do at the time, but in the grand scheme of things, it's petty. First, he was dead so he couldn't be affected in any way, while our culture had a lot to gain from his writing (and did). Secondly, when you look at past events, the further one goes, the less individual wishes and feelings

I believe that once you're death, it really doesn't matter what you wanted. You don't exist anymore. If anything should be respected, it's the family's wishes because they're the ones who are mourning and could be comforted. The dead won't be affected in any way.

Since we're talking about wishing, why not wish for all those things instead of wishing you can be rich so you personally can bring them about?

I'm really sorry you've had such a shitty experience with men who suck in bed. But I promise you, there are plenty of men out there who go down enthusiastically and all the time.

It is bad. You're involving people who might not want to be involved, and since it's a concert, they can hardly walk away. Sex positivity is awesome but participation shouldn't be mandatory.

That's not uptight, it's the truth. It's a violation to force someone to witness your sexual activity.

I do occasionally find a teenager sexually attractive. But I wouldn't even look at them too long, let alone touch them. It's not so much about whether they're sexually attractive or not, it's about control and basic decency.

Maybe it's designed so you can fondle the foot while you're fucking it.

The Grand Budapest was a bore. Predictable, woven out of tropes, unfunny.

Oh. I thought the joke was that he was getting a lifetimes achievement award because he will never do better than Amal... I suck at humour

American humour is weird. It's basically insults you're supposed to laugh at. I never did get "roast" type of humour, and frankly, most of its targets don't seem to either.

My takeaway from this is higher education needs to be more affordable. In my commie utopia you shouldn't even need to work throughout college/university.

Whatever, dude. I couldn't care less what men want. Why should I? Also, have a nice time in dismissland, never gonna see your reply to me so don't bother with one.

Thank you, that's some food for thought for me for sure.

It's good for a very small number of women - beautiful ones. The vast majority not only get nothing out of them, but are actually harmed by the practice because it reinforces a system where a desirable and I assume lucrative career is only open to privileged women.

I'd rather people listened more and expressed support as allies instead of presuming to speak on behalf of others.

AND it's patronising to those other women in foreign countries. Because it's usually said with a tone that makes them seem like victims waiting for westerners' mercy and enlightenment, and presumes that mentioning them in a speech means something to them.
