Almost flipped my shit about Persona 4 being so low...until I figured out you were counting all of the re-releases.

Out of like 8 big manga of the exact same premise running right now...the big surprise is there’s only 1 show with the word ‘sage’ in the title, only 1 with the title ‘reincarnated’ in the title, and only 1 that is an otome game isekai.  Especially the last 2, given there are like 20 of each of them going right now...

See, I had a fairly different reaction to the story of Laura Lee. I’ll preface by saying I’m not an active, church going Christian, though I have read a fair bit of Christian theology. But I regard it, and apply it here, as an element of culture, not the dogma of a true believer.

I think we’re to believe it was supernatural or it was mechanical. I don’t think there will be a clear cut answer, but you can see why the girls might start believing there are spirits trying to keep them from leaving, just the same as us audience asking those questions.

She’s an Oscar nominee who’s headed into her fourth decade of extremely consistent employment in the film industry. That means she’s a) very good at her job and b) well-liked even by non-Scientologists otherwise they wouldn’t work with her. 

Random Thoughts:

It is not an oversight. The show is being internationally broadcast across many different channels and platforms. I trust the global readership of The A.V. Club are able to google their own broadcasting information.

I think one of the fun questions is whether or not Misty is a baddie. She strikes me as a “moral monster” who can’t actually internalize the importance of other people’s inner lives or feelings.
