I used to do this job, and if you think we're inspecting the avocados and only using the best, ripest ones I have some bad news for you...

To be fair, if you’re eating at a Chipotle, you’re not actually worried about eating shitty food.

The only other two I can think of are Demon’s Souls and Ratchet & Clank. And these two are amazing games thankfully.

We are in a weird place where developing for PS5 and Series X only is more expensive for a smaller market share. UE5 might change things a bit thankfully, but a lot of developers will be absolutely fine

Normally I’m just whatever to slideshows, but THIS column has never been one and it has SO MANY entries...no.  Just. No.

Man, feels weird seeing Raph jump ship. Even though his posts popped up with greatly varying infrequency, you could still point to him and say “Jalopnik. You know, weirdos who break shit. Raph’s upside down bug. Those guys.”

Orlove’d.

I had to check and make sure this wasn’t a previously published article.

Well damn, that’s the sound of the drain being circled on this site.

Having Raph as an editor taught me early on to save a copy of my work outside the CMS before sending it to my editors.

That’s a lot of ‘former’s up there...

You mean Jalopnik is gutted.

I finally gave up on the game—I just wasn’t having fun, the combat (which I never really liked very much) had lost its luster, the exploration grew to be a slog, the good bits were becoming fewer and further between, and then there was the whole final act that I kept hearing about being terribly overtuned and

My guess is the routes will integrate instead of remaining separate. With the previous FE Warriors covering Fates by combining everyone together, my expectation is that this one will do the same. Start with “distinct” choices of which characters you unlock first, but then fully integrate the cast for the finale at

And the allies were actually effective at carrying out your orders! Hyrule Warriors and Samurai Warriors let you order your allies around on the map, but they could never do things like capturing zones or killing bosses. Having your allies actually be able to contribute to the battle in FEW was such a refreshing

You take that back about P5S. It was an amazing blend of Persona 5 and a Musou game!

We’ll always have the first Hyrule Warriors.

I’m being too lazy, let’s update this a bit.

The tactics element of the first Fire Emblem Warriors was easily the best part of it, so I’m excited to see how they expand on that in a game that looks to be a lot more lively than the Fates/Awakening hybrid that was the first game. Zooming around the map by swapping characters while directing allies to move to go cle
