The 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. One of those cars GM shitcanned just when they we’re getting it right.

COTD

Wow, this video was filled with even more stupidity than I even imagined.

A quick search showed me this guy for 29k (I didn’t see anything disqualifying swapped cars)

I think the most egregious cases of this was back in ‘06 and’07 when the Hemi Chargers were introduced for police use. The brake pads they used on them were great for stopping power, but not so much for longevity. Early years had cars getting a mere 6-8k out of their pads!

While top speed, 0-60 and 0-100 are numbers that all of us automotive type like to talk about, I think the most impressive number for the Ford Police Interceptor Utility is the test-leading 1.36.47 avg lap (1.35.xx by the fastest driver) time around Grattan. It shows that it is not only fast, but also a

The cars that I have had the most connection to are the ones that I’ve worked on, modded, and ‘built’ the most. It’s just my opinion, but I’m of the line of thought that you can’t truly love a car without putting a significant amount of time, thought, and work into it to make it something that is truly ‘yours’.

Giant brass balls, a traumatic brain injury, childhood emotional trauma that has resulted in maschistic car choices, or simply just like doing different things with no thought of longevity......... All of these are potential reasons for my choices.

They made a rotary chainsaw as well. How scary does that sound?? lol

I own a Renesis-equipped and an EJ257-equipped car.  Every day is a disaster waiting to happen.

Sachs made one back in the 70's. I’ve been trying to find one to add to my rotary collection

I tend to go over the top with all the gear I keep in my car in the winter. But in my line of work, I am considered ‘essential personnel’ and am required to travel in many instances where there are travel bans, so I make sure I have what I need to keep myself safe and help others if they are in need. I carry those

Yeah, i do that too actually.  Didn’t mention it.  I’m also the kind of guy who sprays armorall on all the rubber bushings and whatnot anytime I’m under the car.

I would be ok with that result!

I live in Buffalo, NY so winter prep is rather important to me.

True.  I’ve ‘heard’ about those as well.  From what I know, it sounds like they offer great deals on cab-rides!

This looks like it will do just fine for regular Taxi duty in the UK. You guys over there have much cooler looking Taxis on your side of the pond.

Funny, this Sunfire that looks a lot like you stock photo was out being hooned at Autocross yesterday:

Based on my personal experience, the Chevy Malibu. My Mom owned two of these unfortunately (In the same gold as pictured). It was like driving a bowl of plain oatmeal. The ride soft, but clanky. The seats were like the padded seats at the DMV, ok when you first sat down, but turned to an ass-numbing harshness after
