Yea I use sound a lot for situational awareness. Shot locations, sound of shot, type of firearm, judge distance, etc. You can use sound in fps games but there is a lot less too it. Also in those games you have to account a bit for bullet drop and distances much more and deal with vehicles.

I really want to know if these results are affected by the equipment you use to play too. When playing PUBG I exclusively use a surround sound headset to help identify what direction sounds are coming from. You’d think that it would help with the spacial navigation side of things.

Call of Duty and Counter Strike are small maps with not much to really focus on. I guess it makes sense. I wonder if other shooter games fair differently like Arma or Pubg? Chernaraus is a massive map yet I know it like the back of my hand. Better sometimes than my own neighborhood lol.
