Dude. For real?

Bold of you to assume I’m turning video on at all.

When white parents can flip on the TV to keep our child entertained and know that they won’t even need to look for shows featuring characters that look like them, we have privilege.

Yeah the master branch one confuses me for the same reason. To me it meant just main, like a master recording, or a master copy. If its used alongside slave, then yeah, but its not. There’s no slave branch, that’s not how it works.

Really, it’s not like they’re called “slave” branches, they’re not, so it’s not a use of “master/slave.” The rest I can see, but this just baffles me.

Well said, there is no need to make something racial that isn’t a race problem, it’s a victimized society.

I always thought of it as this:

None of this is race related. It’s all made up by soft people with no spine, a victim complex (Karens), and are attention seeking. Call it husband/ wife. Who cares? No one with working brains.

I get master/slave. It isn’t really necessary at all, and more descriptive terms are actually better in most cases.

Yeah, I dunno, I just remember learning a *shitload* of stuff in 2012-2013 from Lifehacker that got me into Linux, building my own PCs, using virtual machines, setting up Raspberry Pi-based VPNs, customizing the terminal on Mac, refitting an old netbook with Chromium etc. Stuff that I was frankly clueless on before

You still use Acrobat Reader??

What? I can’t even remember the last time I used an “app store” on a PC. What do you actually use your PC for, anything besides installing a browser on it?

Dude. An inordinate number of your stories are either Apple advertising, or how to fix Apple stuff to work the way it should.  It might be skimming the surface of the tech tip pool, but not much more.

If nothing else, if you have to work with PDFs, you realize quickly that there is a vast difference in the AppStore version of Acrobat Reader and the good ole’ x86-64 versions of Acrobat Reader.

Even if I have no intention of trying something, or if I don’t even understand how it works, I still enjoy reading that somebody could do something neat with the proper ambition. I’ve been fucking around with little chips since the raspberry pi articles started years ago. It’s beyond my capabilities but I enjoy it.

The *vast* majority of the apps I use were installed via .exe rather than the Windows Store or other type of appstore

I use autohotkey (exe) to load up multiple exes (green shot, gpmdp, np++, others) every single day. Just because you like app stores doesn’t mean everyone else does. Heck, I view github as a better AppStore than the 3 major official offerings.

My mind is boggling that you think every Windows app or utility lives in Microsoft’s “Appstore”

I realise I’m over 40, but what’s with the thumbs up emoji? Something sexual or something racist or something else?

Wow.  How far into the B-roll of blog ideas are we by now?
