If you really seriously want to rename your stuff, use Bulk Rename Utility. It may look ugly as hell but that's why it's so good at its job!

There's a track on Codacademy. You could start there. Then get your hands dirty and started something like editing (or creating) a Wordpress theme. There's always W3Schools but remember, when you refer to W3Schools, also refer to W3Fools!

That's a C++ IDE. I already love Visual Studio for that! :)

Frankly speaking, I still feel that my Windows Phone apps don't have enough audience. If I wanted to expand to iOS, would the first step be to get a Mac?

Well, I have studied them! Xamarin - first of all, it's not all free. Secondly, my short experience tells me (and I'd be glad to be wrong) that native is always native. Workarounds stop working after a point. So, it's good to invest in 'the right way' initially!

Trust me! I'll be more that glad to change my opinion about Visual Studio. You're probably right - getting out of Windows environment would help.

PHP has lot of negative following. It's a weird language from the point of view of a complete novice.

Maybe you can help me out. I am able to call myself 'well versed' when it comes to C# and have done work on WinRT. I was looking to expand my skill set to include Android. Where do you get started with Java? Sorry if it hurts, but once you get used to Visual Studio, every other IDE (Eclipse?) looks like crap! Is there

Now that you mentioned Android mess, you probably know that lots of people are going to take a week just to set up IDE! Speaking of family C, well, one can never learn it completely! Memory management, garbage collectors and what not.

I did grab it. Assuming, I have an app, (okay, I do) in Windows Store or Windows Phone Marketplace, how does Lifehacker select which apps to feature? I'll run the promotion.

Why write the $4.99 price tag in the article if it was free? You almost scared me away!

Thanks, bu I'm afraid, where I live, people don't know something as trivial as WD-40, let alone the 3M products or fancy sprays. I think I'll have to improvise with something.

Came here to post exactly the same. I came across that project while randomly going through KickStarter. Can't bye though - living in Asia means shipping costs are ridiculous!

Not exactly a residue problem, but Dell sent me laptop with stickers - lots of them - even the ones advertising back lit keyboard and optical drive. Any good way to cleanly remove those stickers without scratching or damaging the finish?

You stole words out of my mouth! Give me Apple's hardware and then let me run Windows and Linux on it with full support and it'd be heaven. Now, I think about iPhone and yeah, it would be great to run Windows or Android on it!

I think these people just need to be thrown into some developing country. First world problems!

I have a bit different scenario here. Unlike most of others, I have a reasonably powerful machine (i7 1st gen, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA 2GB 425M) lying around. Thing is that it started getting hotter than usual and I bought new laptop. So, the older one just sits there. I 'm currently using it for random stuff like quadruple

About that... my bristles always keep themselves straight. My toothbrush never fans!

You can just your password (any password - mail, bank) expire every 90 days or something and change the toothbrush when it does. That way you're keeping your teeth as well as account secure!

If remembering to buy a toothbrush is such an important thing, I'm sure "there's an app for that!" Isn't there one single app?
