This. Like...i’m trying to play the game. Invading my game for the express purpose of making me have less fun is a poor decision by the makers of the game and just straight up a dick move by the player.

And this is why I really don’t like these games. I hate having to play offline or just kindle a fire then walk out expect to be ganked a few minutes later by people who are super high level and camp the newbie areas cause they have nothing better to do. The PVP aspect of the Souls games is easily the absolute worst part of the whole thing. What an amazingly stupid idea. Take a great single player experience and then drop a giant deuce on the player every now and then for no damn good reason.

You don’t have to be a dick about it to celebrate. Dark souls 3 has several bow and salute emotes, you don’t need to teabag someone by default.

This kind of boss fight does come with a very glaring downside compared to traditional bosses though. Your average giant demon/dragon/knight doesn’t end an encounter by teabagging your corpse. Eventually I got so tired of it I disconnected my internet and just fought the default npc.

While I miss the RPG elements of the earlier games, I mostly play Paper Mario for the wit of the writing and charm. I’ll probably never pre-order a Paper Mario game again after Sticker Star, but I will pick this up since it looks much better.
