In the spirit of Carvana’s insulting offer for my car, I will offer to buy the company for $10,000. The offer comes with a free bonus of spamming their inbox constantly asking if they want to sell for basically nothing.

As God is my witness, if that enormous rust bucket shows up in David Tracy’s front yard...

I carry jumper cables, so that’s really the only fix I can offer at the side of the road (beyond helping them to push their car out of traffic). I’ve rescued cars with a jump, but I’ve also been told the issue is something else and haven’t gotten out my cables, just wished them good luck.

I’d always assumed the helpful motorists were offering a jump after the (now broken) vehicle operator had spent 5-10 minutes fruitlessly cranking the engine. 100%.

This goes way beyond shipping costs. This whole thing has opened up the eyes of companies to the consequences of adopting lean without mitigating against the bullwhip effect. This is what I’m always on about utilization rates. High utilization = high efficiency, but also extremely low disruption tolerance. Your

So, why wasn’t his car properly examined by the authorities? I mean, bodies in trunk are Crime Scene 101. And if his vehicle was unknowingly impounded, why did it take so long to connect back to the victim?  Either details are missing here, or we have another case of shoddy investigative work.
