I think, in context along with the rest of the video, it tends to show a sort of callous indifference. If they were somber and quiet, I’d still think their comments to the dad were bad and ill-advised, but it’s frankly possible I’d be a little more willing to give some benefit of the doubt as to their intentions.

The cast was the best part of the movie and they deserved better than their treatment and the film we all got.

Full disagree. That movie was screamingly funny. Hell, there’s a supercut of McKinnen doing outtakes that are all improv and they’re all absolutely hilarious.
