That an elected official who’s supposedly “one of the good guys” could display such fascist tendencies and be met with a collective shrug because they have good stances on some other issues is alarming, to say the very least.

That’s fair. I just find all of the gushing and glowing support for him to be extreme and lacking nuance in light of the awful positions he’s taken, no matter how much one might dislike Chelsea Manning.
