GODZILLA IS NOT FUCKING GREEN.
GODZILLA IS NOT FUCKING GREEN.
To be fair, my problems with the game’s story don’t begin or end with the twist. The story and characters have a lot of problems. It doesn’t matter as much anyway because outside of Metal Gear Rising, it’s the Metal Gear that is the most fun to play.
The MGSV was kind of a “no, that can’t be it, can it?” Watching the trailers and gameplay demonstrations and all that, it was hard to not think that was going to be the twist. Then upon starting the game and being in that first sequence, most people immediately said “it’s fucking true, isn’t it?” That was more about…
I haven’t liked anything he’s done in a long time, but his new album is pretty damn fun. Especially the song with one of the best titles ever “Well, Everybody’s Fucking in a U.F.O.”
Hasn’t it been made clear that it will happen, it’s just a matter of how close after Alien: Covenant is released?
Oh, darn, I guess I’ll just have to stick with people announcing it as they happen so I know all the relevant things and don’t even have to watch the panels after the fact.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED Edge of Tomorrow, it’s one of my favorite sci-fi films of the past decade, but what is there to do a sequel about? The first one wrapped up the story nicely enough and I can’t imagine there’s anywhere to go without answering unasked questions.
I look forward to either watching an unintentionally hilarious unfinished version or watching the DVD a year or two after release when I remember “Oh yeah, there’s been a couple X-Men movies that have come out and a new one comes out next year. I should get on that.”
Yeah, that face. I was just like “Mark, are you OK?”
I don’t think Godzilla is a bad movie, it’s just a boring one. It’s well-made and aside from a pretty bland script, has some nice moments. (However let down I was, I will maintain that the Muto smooch was worth the entire movie.)
At least he seems to be getting more to do here than in the last Hollywood film where he was cast with next to nothing to do and then died. I’m still sad the first movie I saw him in was (the otherwise great) Blade II.
I took my kids to see it so I had to keep my “WTF?” reaction to seeing the people from two of the best action movies ever made just standing there doing nothing internal. Honestly, why?
I want to be excited, but it’s Gareth Evans. I’m expecting a movie that looks amazing from the trailers and then is just a competently made but boring film.
I’m fine with this. She had a really good run and was one of the best parts of last series.
Especially when you watched the unfinished version and it looks like he turned Wolverine to lumpy twisted clay and threw him off the top of a train. It’s still a terrible movie, but the unfinished one kinda makes it a little funnier in a meta way.
Dark Horse covered that for you, and they threw in the Alien franchise for free! (Spoiler: It’s a pretty terrible book, but worth reading for the novelty.)
It’s my favorite Iron Man movie and I feel no shame in that at all.
I’ve really enjoyed Shane Black’s direction and since we’re not likely to get any new films from McTiernan, he’s great as a second choice.
I didn’t know all of that extra stuff. I just knew he played the role and did the uncredited rewrites. Kind of odd that all the behind the scenes Predator footage left that out.
It’s been confirmed it’s a straight up sequel and not a reboot or reset. Also, consider the fact that Shane Black did an uncredited rewrite on the first Predator film.
