The mobile view of lists and articles on the av club is basically non-functional for me. In the course of trying to read this recap, the site refreshed itself 4 times, and the view constantly jumps up and down because the off-screen ads are doing something weird (resizing, perhaps?). This was on Safari on IOS.

It’s 2009 all over again. Republicans have lost the Presidency, the House, and the Senate and handed the new Democratic President and Democratic majorities a massively damaged country. Republicans will now do everything in their power to obstruct any meaningful solutions to help fix any of the problems we face and, if

The Daily Show did a round-up video of all the petty shit (mostly) coming from right-wing media and it was just sad. From the Peloton to Biden being sworn in ten minutes early to him not fixing the vaccination program (that previously didn’t exist) in his first couple days in office.

In order to help the poor, you must give away enough of your money to become poor yourself is what I’m reading. So yeah I can see why someone might have a hard time running as a progressive.

4 kids was the dream back when my college BF and I were starting to plan our wedding. I still have names picked out for all four. But we broke up at age 22 and I chose to focus on growing as a human, rather than growing humans, that early in my life. I’d watched Idiocracy, I knew the statistics were against me (if I

See, I love my Xbox One. Halo is one of my favorite franchises so when I was upgrading from an Xbox 360 (which is what I had in the previous generation) I looked at the exclusives and decided it was pretty much a wash except for Halo, so I got an Xbox One. Halo 5 is a great game (with a bad campaign) so I’m happy

I find myself chuckling at the mystery quests in this game quite often. Save your viper eggs ;) ;)

That’s what I do with my Xbox One. I’m pretty much all digital already but I’d still like the disc drive for occasional BC games and for Blu-ray.

Epic is starting to remind me of the “protagonists” from Rent.

Shout out to any millenial-going-on-boomer who knows what the heck I’m talking about.

The problem is that there are actual implications for allowing anything and everything.

You’re absolutely right in the sense that I’ve been buying season passes for games for a long time, so despite my griping, the model is working on me. I can even admit that the “games as a service” model works great for AAA multiplayer experiences, but those games simply aren’t my cup of tea. I tend to skew towards

Exactly. And I think they’re massively overvaluing the impact of keeping a game front-of-mind. I’m an incorrigible completionist, which is why I skipped Odyssey, but I did slog my way through Origins. It turned into a complete chore, and if you asked me through most of 2018, “what are you playing?” I would have let

This is one of those times I'm glad I went all digital. Grab my external HD, plug it into the new Xbox, done. My 1X goes to a friend, or a trade up.

Thank you for being a Sony fan that recognizes this is crap.  I’ve seen too many other fans praising this for being exclusive and acting bewildered why anyone would find this irritating.  You’ve confirmed that those people don’t speak for all the fans.

You aren’t missing out on something by not having one character

“How is this anti-consumer? Let’s look at it another way: if Sony didn’t pay the developer to make exclusive content, that content wouldn’t exist for anyone.” Do you truly believe this? That the game was completely finished and then Sony said “hey, we’ll pay you to make one more character just for us.” And the

So we can all agree that Sony really loves paying a lot of money for “we are special look at us” DLC.

How is this anti-consumer?

Unity gets a lot of shit because it was shit at launch. Runs much better now, but still has issues.

I find it ironic that people that are supposed to like video games insist on dumping on AC Unity, which is easily the apex of the series, the last moment before it became an inferior witcher knockoff with dull side quests, a giant empty expanse, and enemies that took at least 500 smacks with a dull weapon to kill.
