You needed him to come back to life to pull all these people into this point in time. Without him coming back, you have no Arya coming North, no Dany coming North, nada.

Thank you for calling him out for this. I know people hate TLJ, but...do people just not know how Hollywood...works?! Everyone at Lucasfilm was on board with it, J.J. also produced it, they gave Rian another trilogy before TLJ was even out. His “rumors” are a fiction of the mind. 

What rumors? Can you be specific? Don’t forget J.J. was a producer on VII, and while they were filming, they gave Rian a full new trilogy to make. I think what you are saying is wishful thinking, regardless if you like or hate TLJ.

I would argue that Disney’s target audience for Marvel and Star Wars is literally anyone with a pulse, because it’s their aim to make a movie that will invite in and entertain a broad, international coalition of people, and not a smaller, vocal minority of people.
