I mean sure...but the situation you described is nothing like a comedian doing his act in a comedy club or in comedy skits.

    My list would be:

I honestly don’t understand Hollywood. Yesterday I saw an article that WB gave Joker 2 a budget of $200m. The first movie was made for a third of that. I get that the director and Joaquin are due raises (or maybe just a % of revenue) but how do you spend that much more money on a sequel?

I’ve liked Powell in most everything else I have seen him (which admittedly is not a lot of movies - Set It Up and Top Gun: Maverick). Also Hidden Figures but he doesn’t have a big role in that one.

When everyone is handing in terrible performances, I start to wonder if it’s really the director who did a horrible job. Powell may be one note but he certainly hasn’t been bad in other movies I’ve seen him in. I would say he was pretty great in Everybody Wants Some!!.

I’ve posted this here a few times but IMO the biggest issue they have had is their “Phases” since Endgame have been incredibly disjointed. They’re trying to build multiple team-ups and multiple big stories all at the same time with the payoffs for most of their teases being years away. The pandemic contributed to that

I like their lemon cookies the most - the crispy texture is exactly what you want out of that type of cookie. For chocolate chip, personally prefer something that has a better blend between chewy and crispy.

There’s a local taco chain in the city I live in now that has empanadas. They sell them two per order for $4 with a sauce. Sounds like they’re bigger than Taco Bell’s and these have carnitas or green chile chicken in them vs Taco Bell chicken.

If it’s the same article I read the other day, it was at a rest stop. Rest stops, like airports, often jack up prices because they know people on a road trip looking for something quick have few if any other options.

I’ve said it for a while now - what is the utility of fast food (at least the major fast food chains) nowadays? It’s not cheap. It’s often not fast due to labor shortages at many locations. And the quality of the food seems to get worse and worse every passing year. Seems like a lot of these companies are skating by

Interstellar is a movie that I’ve enjoyed more and more each time I’ve seen it. It was back in the theaters for a retro night a few weeks ago and saw it on the big screen and it was a great experience.

Have been saying it for a while but if there is an age minimum for the presidency, there should be an age maximum too. Biden is obviously leagues better than Trump but neither of these guys should be in the running for president.

It reminds me of my favorite fast casual burrito chain - Pancheros. Hard to find one of them nowadays but their differentiator is they mix all of the ingredients that go into a burrito before rolling it so you get some of every ingredient with every bite. Which makes sense to do because I’ve had plenty of burritos

Hmm...I liked Arrow (well parts of it). He played a vigilante well. Don’t know if I buy Amell can play a charasmatic force of nature like Harvey Spector. Always thought he came off as a bit awkward when he tried to play the playboy role on Arrow. Never saw Heels so maybe he showed some of that there.

I just watched it. Thought it was on same level or maybe better than Thor 4 and DS2. Definitely better than AM3. The opening fight sequence when they’re all trading places is really fun and well done and Kamala is great throughout. The villain was terrible and forgettable.

They were developing a Moana TV show but are now recutting that TV show to be a movie. So they likely had lesser-known / cheaper VAs for the TV show that they now have to try to replace.

The name casting is to hook in parents.

I watched the first season because I grew up with the movies and disliked it. I hated what they did with Gordon Bombay, resetting him to a failure again. I didn’t buy the whole concept of a mom who has never played hockey coaching a hockey team with mostly kids who had never played hockey before. And the only other

This just seems like a logical assortment of coffee / tea related items.

Personally I think the mistake Disney has made is their content strategy, not the release of Disney+.
