Venture Bros is by far my favorite thing Adult Swim has done - just incredible quality all-around with great animation, stories, voice-acting, and humor. Glad it got a proper sendoff with the special that came out a few months back.

It’s really sad what this site has become. It used to be full of genuinely good writers with spirited discussions about entertainment. Now it’s full of hacks who like to shit on other sites / people for spreading misinformation while doing the same shit themselves.

I wish they would continue Super.

I would wager it’s more of a case of them just not caring vs them not understanding. They hold all of the power in our economy. Even during strikes, they’re collecting obscene paychecks as people who go on strike make sacrifices to get a little bit more.

To each their own but I personally found Pierce to be an integral part of the show and often the funniest part. He could play the role of a villain and the butt of the joke really well and it felt like the seasons without him were missing something. Don’t blame the show for getting rid of Chase for being insufferable

I think this would be a good thing. Traditional TV formats, with multiple seasons that have 13+ episodes, allow for more character development and building to bigger stories. Both of those things increase the chances of having a good show with a more invested / devoted fanbase.

Yea I mean stage performances do. Scorcese is comparing a three-hour movie to a three-hour stage performance and asking why people are OK with the latter but not former. And the difference is that stage performances still do have intermissions.

I’m just saying they’re not the same situations as the other two do give people an opportunity for a bio-break without missing any of the story.

Do you mean their old Twister wraps? Those were really solid but nothing like hanis.

I have some friends who love hanis and always order them when we go to coney islands. But I’ve never been that into it myself - I’d rather have a true gyro or a coney dog.

Killers could play on a small screen, but in order to truly immerse yourself, you should take out the time,” he said. “People say it’s three hours, but come on, you can sit in front of the TV and watch something for five hours. Also, there are many people who watch theater for 3.5 hours. There are real actors on

Nah dude - you nailed the joke. People who replied to you either never watched Sopranos or totally whiffed.

I feel like most every major character has an equal fate to Walt. Jesse suffers a ton but ends up free in Alaska with a new start. Saul ends up in jail but gets his soul back and seems at peace. Walt’s family is publicly scorned but he’s found a way to leave them money.

Netflix, as a company, hasn’t operated at a loss for a really long time (they have had positive net income since 2009 at least). If you mean streaming was losing money initially, yes it was but Netflix’s old business of mailing DVDs to customers was still making decent money back then. And nowadays streaming makes

What’s the mystery with how Netflix makes money? They are a public company with quarterly, audited financials. They regularly report how many subscribers they have, average subscription revenue per subscriber, and their expenses, a large bulk of which is content spend.

Oh it’s a website that did this based on sales (missed that on first read). That makes a bit more sense as people are more likely to order candy that is hard to find in stores on websites. Case in point, I said I liked Lemonheads and only way I can find them nowadays is online.

Unless it’s on Showtime, in which case your show will never get a proper ending and get run into the ground if its mildly popular.

Agent Carter S2 does end on a cliffhanger as Chad Michael Murray’s character is shot and the Sousa / Carter getting together is effectively thrown out as Sousa ends up with Quake on AoS and Carter with Cap after Endgame. So I don’t know if that show really feels that resolved.

I plain just don’t believe this is true. I like Hot Tamales or Lemonheads once in a while and feel like I’m in the minority of everyone I’ve ever met. An entire state calling those candies their favorites? Just don’t believe it.
