If your point is that the Tuohys have said they received less...yes I know and that is part of my point. I know they are saying they got less. Lewis clearly is not saying that and the fact that they’re giving two different stories despite being good friends likely trying to stay in lockstep is interesting.

Did you read the linked interview with Michael Lewis in this very article?

The initial comments by Sean Tuohy and his son are inconsistent with what Lewis is saying in terms of the total money received. Both Sean and his son have indicated that they split equally and everyone should have gotten $14k. Lewis is saying the Tuohys got $70k for the option to make the movie and then another $350k

Me and my group just moved a lot of our game to Discord - we do a lot of the traveling / shopping there and then 3-4 times a year, plan a meetup in person (a weekend where we either go to someone’s house or vacation somewhere) to play in-person. Campaign goes very slow but better than nothing at all.

lol I didn’t scroll down and posted almost exactly the same thing - anyone who is around a Jet’s knows you have to buy off of their deals page.

I moved out of MI but Jets always has specials that are way better than ordering from their regular menu. Just looking at the one that used to be closest to me, it has the below deals:

Maybe ESPN is misquoting Sean Tuohy but below article and its offshoots is what I am basing this off of:

Now bring White Collar to Netflix.

Maybe worth mentioning that Michael Lewis was friends with Sean Tuohy and that they’ve known each other since they went to high school together in New Orleans (before college)? There’s nothing unbiased about his viewpoint here. And the only interesting thing is he’s claiming the Tuohys did get $350k for the movie

Maybe but honestly no one has made that claim so not sure why it warrants merit. The Tuohys have said they received nothing from the movie and shared the small proceeds they got from book with him (which was released while he was still in college). If their story changes to be that they got money but couldn’t pay him

Sandra Bullock was the star but Oher was the subject and his name wasn’t changed or anything...not sure how you can draw any distinction here in who is the driving force for the movie. Without Oher’s success in NCAA / NFL, there is no story.

That’s my point though. Oher is suing to end his conservatorship and get a fair accounting of the money the Tuohy’s made. And to get punitive damages if they find out they withheld money from him. If they truly made no money off of it and are willing to end his conservatorship, as they’ve said publicly, this shouldn’t

He’s technically in 3 as well but only for a brief second and I don’t believe he has any dialogue. They show him having a meal with Scott as a friend at the beginning. Which was a good payoff to a joke from the 2nd movie and one of the few good parts about AM3.

Tony is hitting on her. That is all to take from that quote.

The dad has come out and said that they told Oher they had to make him a part of the family if he wanted to go to Ole Miss (because the Tuohys were Ole Miss boosters and housing Oher would have looked like an impermissable benefit if he wasn’t a part of their family) and that he proposed a conservertorship because

There was no valid reason for this family to put Oher in a conservatorship, which the dad has already admitted to. Tennessee allows adult adoption, they could have adopted him. Maybe they did have terrible legal advice or something but if so, least they could do now is end the conservatorship and show Oher the

It’s obviously an edit but there’s nothing that makes it obvious that the butt of the joke isn’t Miyamoto himself...as I already explained. And if Miyamoto is the butt of the joke, it makes no sense for reasons I also already explained.

It’s pretty telling that the movie was originally titled Maid of Honor as the movie is clearly meant to be about Wiig vs an ensemble of characters. I do agree the way the movie was marketed is a bit odd but it was wildly successful so not going to question it.

I know it is but changing his quote makes it seem like he’s become hypocritical and changed his stance. Given how closely associated he is with Nintendo, easy to see someone assume that. It’s a step away from pure misinformation and all for the purpose for a joke that’s not even that funny.

What does Miyamoto have to do with this? He has nothing to do with the Pokemon games of late.
