Can see that but also thought Chris O’Dowd was a secondary character in Bridesmaids. Definitely has a bigger role than any of the women in the Hangover series though.

The Magicians was also a book series - I like both the book series and TV show and think the show is a good example of an adaptation not having to follow the source material to be good.

What bromance comedies are you thinking of that don’t have romantic interests for at least one of the male protagonists? I can’t think of one off top of my head as the ones I can think of (Old School, Wedding Crashers, Anchorman, I Love You Man, etc) all do.

Don’t really buy that because reality programming is a constant strategy some networks / services have because it is cheaper to produce. And that’s always going to be true because reality shows feature nobodies looking for their 15 minutes of fame in a situation that’s relatively cheap to set up and film. Even if they

This is a union I wholeheartedly would not support or give two shits about. Reality “stars” and influencers can go away forever for all I care.

His house isn’t in CA. It’s in Long Island (or least it was, if he sold it).

Have you played Inscryption? If not, would check that out if you like deck-building, single player games (will caveat, it is horror themed but didn’t think it was too bad personally).

It was difficult but that was the best part of it - it had an actual challenge. The mainline Pokemon games are so mind-numbingly easy that I quickly lost interest as I grew older. TCG made you think about strategy and building different decks for different opponents.

The problem is they didn’t take big swings, they took small boring ones and made a not-so-great show.

I like yellow mustard with onion rings more than any other mustard.

I’ve found that in general, people focus on the couple of issues that matter the most to them personally and align to a party or vote (if they’re independent) accordingly. There isn’t any reconciliation to be done - they just don’t care that much about the other issues either way.

Where is that not true though? I travel all over the US and mom and pop type places are always the best representations of regional food. Chains and fast food places almost always kind of suck comparitively as they’re using worse ingredients and more bland recipes to appeal to masses and keep cost low.

So screw over all the concertgoers who likely planned months ahead of time and paid exorbitant ticket prices given the popularity of this tour?

Trying to understand why people like certain musical acts, TV shows / movies, artwork, etc is a losing battle. People have different tastes, especially as you cross generations, and if an artist is popular, it’s because they are resonating with enough people in the world to be popular.

the decision to simplify plot points like The Witcher’s expansive geopolitics is often “necessary” when “a series is made for a huge mass of viewers, with different experiences, from different parts of the world, and a large part of them are Americans.”

Kind of? Subway is first in number of locations but eighth in sales (selling 18.8% of what McDonalds does) and it’s kind of the most popular fast food chain? Try not even close.

No there’s rice as well, forgot to mention.

It’s a fair point and if Gal was truly iconic as WW, I’d have no issue with them keeping her and just rebooting the character like they did with Dench. But she isn’t that great in the role and they’re also talking about a sequel to WW84, not a reboot.

In a recent press release (via CNN), AMC Theaters announced that July 21-27 marked its single highest admission revenue week of all time. As in, the most tickets sold in the world’s largest theater chain’s entire 103 year history.
