Lotsa truth right there. Squids always raise the awareness factor.

I’ve had a bee hit me in the exposed neck and man did that freakin hurt. Glad I always wear full face and keep the visor down at speed.
Same here. Full face all my riding life of 35 plus years. Once in a blue moon I’d ride with an open face if I was taking a trip into NYC from where I used to live in NJ, but I fealt way to vulnerable. Also, how many times have you had a bee/bug/wasp explode on your visor or have a stone kicked up and think, geeze…
I switched to modulars 10yrs ago because I wear glasses and liked the ability to take the helmet off without messing with my glasses. You can get them pretty light. My current one (Bell SRT) is actually lighter than my last full face was.
This just in: DUH!!
It is a really decent system. Sedan had plenty of room but in the hatch it does eat up a bit relative to the size of the trunk.
I can’t complain about the car. In 2012 when I had the first Focus, it was a loaded SEL sedan. Heated seats, mood lighting, back up camera, My Ford Touch was cool, sunroof, etc... still alot of car for the money today. My 2014 Titanium 5dr is in the color I originally wanted and has the sport handling package so its…
seems like you got almost all your value out of the car!
Yup, our TCM went. Daughter got in a fender bender in shopping center parking lot but car was repaired. The Sport Suspension and 18" wheels make the car a gokart on the twisties.
my condolences...lol
Never recommending a car to a non car person is excellent advise!
Ford Focus owner here. I’ve had a 2012 that I leased for 3yrs and zero issues with the DCT. Returned that and then 4yrs ago picked up a used 2014 5door Titanium with Sport package. It only had 30K on the clock when I bought it and sure enough at 40K (last year right after letting my new driver daughter have it) the…
I’m older than you, been riding for well over 35yrs and this has always been a thing. A low peace sign type flash to all my 2 wheel friends. Usually HD and some BMW don’t “wave” back.
He’s likely on a BMW. None given/none received! LOL
Another Gen X here. Its because they have some sort of nostalgic trigger/desire. Think of something from your own youth (a toy, video game, etc...) that gives you that twang of “wish I was a kid again” and that’ll explain the why. Why do I keep searching for my 71 Columbia 5spd muscle bike that I rode live evil…
To me its like every other Automotive subculture of our love of cars. Some people love stance’d cars, others muscle cars that only go fast in a straight line, some like weird Kei cars, etc... its another niche that has appeal to the right people. I was 18 when the movie came out and got the joke about using a DeLorean…
If I had $26K and was looking for something super unique and iconic, then I’d be in. Though my only condition would be to finish the carb work. All the other things are nits and nats and don’t bother me.
I will grant you the first on the shore with its looks, but it was an interminably boring car after the initial wow of its different looks.
I would agree and double down on anything from that basic platform of that era that helped revive Chrysler. Girl I was dating back then had a Horizon and her parents each had a K Car. At the time I had a Mk II GTi. Fit and finish between the two hatchbacks were miles apart. I won’t compare driving because the GTi was…
