I remember that trick on the Town car!

I’m wracking my brain on that!  My 74 Alfa Romeo had them for sure but for the life of my I can’t think of any American cars that had them around that time!

too true!

Surprised no mention of Vent Windows. Ties in with cigarette lighters and ashtrays... this was how my dad used to get the smoke out of the car..

Mario is certainly a top contender for overall greatest race driver. He’s competed and won in so many categories (F1, dirt track, NASCAR, LeMans, IROC, CanAm, etc...)

I always thought Double Decker bus racing was the height of ridiculous racing but Baggers are my new metric.

Blowing my mind with these...

Yeah, I don’t get the appeal of riding these dirt derived vehicles on pavement. I once rode a Kawasaki enduro dirt bike on the street and the bike was so squirrely with the knobbies that it was like riding in the rain.

More bravado than brains.

yup all day.

you assume he tried to brake! They are inherently not agile at hi speed so a high side if he abruptly changes direction is the result.  Braking and not traveling as fast would have changed the outcome but clearly he’s trying to get away.

agreed, I mean the ATV has brakes and it doesn’t look like he even lifted or otherwise slowed down other than when he was airborne into the hood/windshield.

uh, yeah, right.  If the cruiser had accelerated at the ATV and swerved to hit him maybe I’d side with you but clearly not the same.

I’m like that with my blinker fluid too.

Newer cars scare me even more if they’ve been idle or very lightly used!

What brand do you use?

You nailed it. If we’ve had a particularly snowy/road salty winter I definitely pay extra at the car wash to have the undercarriage wash if I can’t get a hose under the car.

Eons ago my parents made me buy our “little old lady’s car” from our next door neighbor because they wanted me to have something more reliable than my 76' Capri. This was 84 and it was a 71 Pontiac Ventura with 23K miles on it and a 307 V8 under the hood. Literally only driven to the store and back and one trip to the

As a current owner of a 09 S5 I can tell you that they are ticking time bombs. Mine is only lightly modded by the PO with an AWE intake and Milltek performance exhaust. In this first year of ownership I’ve had relatively mundane things go on it like a starter ($2700 to replace with a bad engine mount and insanely

Nice Sleuthing!! that price seems more reasonable to me.
