I will admit they are not your typical tire and look more like farm equipment but they ride fine and no noises from them either which was my fear with that unique tread.

Point of clarity. The “unreliable” Giulia was the Quadrifoglio from its early run. I’ve been shopping for used non Quad Giulias and fair bit of research says they are no worse than Audi or BMW. Either case if they do it they way they did with the Tonale where the Dodge is mainly a rebadged Alfa, then I’ll be ok…
Yup, I’ve found them to be ridiculously good in the wet. Almost like it isn’t even wet out! Being from the NYC area, I used to do sorta the opposite to you. Run all seasons for most of the year and then in winter (Thanksgiving to March) throw on dedicated snows. But since we get less snow than I recall and all seasons…
I know someone with one of these. She’s totally frustrated because she is stuck with the vehicle and has to pay for the gas now vs when she was able to charge for free at her place of employment. Jeep seems to have no fix for them either.
In the NY metro area I didn’t need dedicated snows but wanted all season’s that did perform well in the snow and the Crossclimates are supposed to be good. I haven’t experience it yet though.
I’ve found that in the dry they stick really well. In the rain no worries on the highway and hard acceleration does not break them loose. The Dunlops, though admittedly old, broke loose in the rear a few times in hard acceleration in spite of the Quattro system.
You are welcome. It’s an AWD Gran Touring edition
Honestly don’t know. My wife drives almost all pure local and is a lead foot so we see mid-high teens all the time. I haven’t checked the highway run we last did but I drive on the highway and I cruise at 75-80 so I typically see 27mpg or worse if I have the skis and snowboard on the racks.
I just replaced our OEM tires on our CX9 with the Cross Climate 2. Drove home in a downpour over the weekend and zero complaints about the high speed hydroplaning cause there was none. Overall like the tires in the first 5-700 miles of ownership.
The latest draining of my wallet for my B8 Audi S5 was starter motor and motor mount for the heady price of $2700 installed.... The starter and mount while not horribly expensive is a royal PIA to get too involving removal of the motor mount and various other items to access it. Audi says its something like a 15 or…
Netflix’s Downfall: The Case Against Boeing did a deep dive into just how they fell from their core when they acquired Mcdonnell Douglas and then let them totally screw the manufacturing and Quality Control evaporate.
Max Mosely and Jean Marie Balestre were certainly pieces of work for sure. Jean Todt never seemed to have any dirt on him that I can recall.
Agreed!
That’s what I’ve heard too. I think the mid 60's iconic Lincoln Continental have similar but not quite as complex system too.
Thanks!
OOF!
Is it possible that Red Bull decided after being threatened with legal action (and potential continued bad press/team in turmoil) that they would keep the lid on the investigation and say “no further action?”
Even at CEO contract level there is likely language about not adhering to ethics, or bringing disrepute to the company or harassments of any sort. Those are usually a baseline type of thing. We had a high ranking Vice President decide to try and take some upskirts on a train. He got called out on it by the girls…
