Concur. I’ve had a 2012 that had zero transmission probs over the 27K miles I used it for on my lease. Then in 2020 I picked up a Titanium with Handling package that only had 31K on it and had had a recall for the trans. I just gave that car to my daughter 3 mos ago with 44K miles and the trans just went. Now, I will

I watch the doc about Savile and man was he creepy. I can recall when visiting my family in UK watching one or two episodes of his show and thought he was weird.

I approve of this... need the young Kiviat out there again bombing into people.

Yup, and now the tide has turned on Merc in so much as their car is just not there.  Last year’s porpoising was really a sign of a car that was just “wrong” and they’ve had to mold it into something competitive.  Having Newey on your side for engineering is always a major plus.

Again, I do not like Max but you are 100% on about him.  I think the fact that he doesn’t play or let mind games affect him is sort of a silent strength that Alonso touched on by saying essentially Max shows up, focus’s on the drive then goes home.  You don’t see him out and about like many of the others so he remains

No question about that for sure.

As a person who’s been watching F1 since the late 90's I can say that Max’s dominance is not quite like the other typically named dominant racers such as Michael, Lewis or even Sebastian. Arguably while those three were dominant they did have legitimate competition that did not always ensure that a 1st place finish

Agreed! and totally believable that fresh of the showroom floor things didn’t work right. The car was always a challenge to start it in spite of our best friend, a Sr. GM certified mechanic’s regular handy work on the car. My dad was very happy to get rid of it.

Cool car.  Aunt in UK had a MGB GT that she let me drive while there.  Really liked it.   I have me pictured next to almost every car I’ve ever owned. Its a thing with me.

Thanks! Heat worked great and being that the car was well balanced to begin with the extra weight up front was just perfect. When its your daily and you live in the Northern NJ you do what you gotta do! Much younger version of me (circa 1987) and my X:

As a former owner of a 79 X I can tell you the car handles like a go kart. That frunk swalled my disabled cousins wheel chair on a regular basis and it was my DD for almost 3yrs. I threw a set of snows on it and two five gallon pales filled with sand in the frunk and the car was very very good in snow, unless of

Luckily, my buddy’s sister’s was manual... but still a dog.

I forgot they turbo’d it!  I don’t like the Escort front end as much as I liked the goofier original look.

That is a great idea but those scanners are run by TSA. Working in the business, I can tell you TSA will not share any data collected with the airline and to have it introduced into their scanning machines would be an act of God.

This is the Quadrifoglio version which gets you the cladding, those phone dial wheels and the hardtop but not performance jump. If its solid and not rusted and that engine was done by a reputable shop, then the price is good. All Spiders (even the least desirable 75-82 era) are now fetching prices at or above this.

I present the Ford EXP. A restyled Ford Escort that delivered zero sportiness. Buddy’s sister bought one new and while it was at least a bit unique looking, it was absolutely pedestrian in every single way.

Ahh, my dad replaced the Vista with a 75' Pontiac Safari Wagon. It was black with a red interior. We hated that thing because it was very finnicky about starting (smog stuff I think). The rear hatch instead of tailgate was a PIA for his furniture restoration business and it drove terribly compared to the Vista. I

I’m a little late to today’s game, but haven’t seen anyone post the greatest of all wagons, the Vista Cruiser. My fav because I grew up in it, is the 1968. Unique to that year nose and cleaner lines than the first gen. Not ours, but same color combo.

My buddy’s Mom had one of these and would ferry him, his 4 siblings and myself to school in that rolling couch.

I wagoned your wagon!
