can’t argue with you!

US carriers are notoriously cheap and this is just another result. Covid became an opportunity to weed out some dead wood and cut OH costs but obviously if they can do the same with less they’ll try so why try to hire back when you can just push the envelope? Some may recall that they skirted around the fact that

2fer in the same story:

Buddy of mine had one in HS back in ‘83. It was originally his grandmothers. Thing was a rocket and FWD burnouts were awesome.

Simple: NO

Mk I GTi. Started and or mainstreamed the hot hatch narrative.

I’d prefer this earlier Olds Toronado which I believe was GM’s first full on shot at FWD.

Jeremy and the show actually received an award from something like the British Farming council for bringing their plight to light. I think more than anything he IS trying to play within their rules & loopholes and they just flat out don’t want him to disturb the peace.  Those council meetings certainly painted them in

In theory that was Freakin brilliant and very British. What he should have done is made the Barn look barn like but one that could be later easily flipped into a home.

The minute I watched that video clip on the news I knew there was no way he picked up the tab. I work in the NYC construction industry and he was notorious before even the Apprentice for being a habitual stiffer of just about everything.

Nissan - Just nothing interesting going on as far as I’m concerned. CVT transmissions on just about everything they make and cars that seem throw away five minutes after they leave the dealer.

True, list needs to be enlarged.

I’m way late to the game here but can attest that the Honda V6 in the Vue was one of the reasons we kept ours from new for 13yrs. It sounded great, had good power but man that AWD could not contain the raucous torque steer. Only if you launched it in L would the vehicle sprint in a straight line.

My now gone, but bought from new Vue with Honda V6 had to have the autobox reflashed as a recall due to some sort of early locking that caused a very annoying shudder.  It was otherwise fine after that and onto the nearly 13yrs of ownership.

Agreed and I love him.  His biography is a great read but again, in the broader sense there are other drivers who’ve had cooler careers. Admittedly Hunt did come into his own broadcasting F1 alongside Murray Walker.

No mention of Sir Jackie Stewart? F1 World champion, competed in LeMans, CanAm, British Touring Car, Team Owner, Manufacturer spokesman, OBE awarded, TV commentator and recent grid rabble rouser.

On Mario.  He started his career in dirt track racing too and has arguably been involved with Motorsports in all sorts of facets not just driving.

Oh he had a career for sure with women, smoking, partying, but his racing was relative to the others a relatively narrow bandwidth.

That works too! Might be more aesthetically pleasing too.

Just take the nose cone(or its wings) and the rear wings off. Now that would at least be a quasi throw back to the early days of Monaco while not otherwise inventing a new car.  No aero and we have a real challenge to get to those crazy speeds.  Maybe throw on narrower tires too to make the image complete?
